A number of months ago, while on holiday in France, I stepped backwards and fell down a flight of concrete stairs, into the basement of a villa we were staying at. X-rays and scans in a French Hospital, revealed severe fractures to my thoracic vertebrae, as well as two fractures in my hip. I was in a nasty space, mentally and physically, flat on my back and immobile. A long story short, thanks to French Medical, surgical and support skills, in less than two months I was flown back to SA, to begin the long journey back to a form of mobility. Enter Mark Anderson, Physiotherapist, Motivator and "miracle worker " of note. As soon as I graduated from a wheelchair, I was able to make weekly visits originally on crutches. With Mark’s hands on treatments, his motivation and his understanding of my situation, I have experienced remarkable progress. Not only physically, but also emotional healing from the trauma I had experienced. He has boosted my courage, helped me to "push through" the pain, discomfort and sometimes frustration at my limitations. Mark has motivated me in my quest to regain my mobility. Without this gentle, yet powerful positive support from Mark, my rate of recovery would not have been possible. Mark’s encouragement has helped me overcome a number of my fears, and that is a great boost to my confidence. Thank you Mark for your treatments.
