Hadn't been in a few years, and I am glad I went. Albeit my meal was initialyy wrong, the manager was gracious enough to take care of it himself. Food was delicious; set up chilled, and atmosphere just a chilled vibe.Food: 4/5

I've enjoyed coming to this gem of a place for years now. I love how it seems to look and feel better with each visit. A big plus is that it is located in Morningside, and so easily accessible, yet away from the hustle and bustle of Florida Road. It also means parking on the street is easier to come by than on Florida Road! The fact that it has an open air section and a covered section means that it will suit your mood on the day as well as the weather! The menu is varied, the food tastefully prepared I always enjoy the pasta and the staff are friendly, attentive and helpful. I gave the place a four star rating because there's always room to improve, although I can't think of anything specific that needs improvement at this time. I highly recommend this venue.

Yesterday's outing to the Market was a first time for me. We hosted a bridal brunch. The venue is beautiful, different and unique... I really liked it! Definitely a must to host a party The food was great but the service needs a bit of attention. It's not bad but it's not great! It would be amazing if the waiters were trained just little bit more to give it that extra special something... and then it would be wonderful. I'm not nit picking, I'm just being honest. I'd definitely go for another visit though.

This is one of my favorite place, to eat. The choice of food offered is wonderful, the setting, and the service is 5 star. It's definetly value for money. The prentation and the rustic ambiance is second to none

This place has great atmosphere. It is set in a perfect location which is easy to locate. The staff is friendly and professional while providing great customer service. The food is great, however it takes time to get to the table and the portions are a bit small. I enjoyed lamb chops and vegetables they were really good and juicy. I'll definitely go back there again and will recommend the place to others.

Ok, this place is a very mixed - ok food, ok service but it looks very dirty and tired looking which drags it down. Walking in is yuck, this place needs a wash and revamp. The awning is filthy, torn and needs a wash. The toilet is dusty and full of mould on the ceiling, broken tiles etc. a huge let down. We had prawn starter, chicken burgers, lamb chops and avo on toast, all pretty standard. For dessert, baked cheese cake was dry, brownie was good but the tiramisu was bad, weird, very watery/wet and a lemony taste with weird instant coffee after taste. Incredibly disappointing. Overall been to much better prettier places in Durban that are cleaner, better services and not as expensive - sadly would not be back.

Do not visit this restaurant. 1 star is too many stars. Very poorly run establishment. Left an hour after not receiving meals. On arrival, despite having called ahead and made a booking, my family and I were placed at a table that was dirty and unkempt. We were seated and then had to request the waiter to place a tablecloth on the table due to how dirty and untidy it looked. Not only did the waiter Steve take a long time to come to take our orders, but when he came through he said many things from the vegetarian menu were unavailable and he did not have any idea of the other options we could choose. He was very rude, curt and unwelcoming. The owner or manager was around and she came to ask on us. We let her know about the table and how long we were waiting for our drinks. She moved us to another table and asked the waiter to wait on us and then left. After getting our drinks we waited about 20 minutes and no one had come to take our meal order. We had to walk back into the restaurant, request someone to come outside and take our meal orders. When a waiter finally came to assist, Steve our original waiter comes to the table mid order and requests that he takes our order instead saying that the new waitress Thobeka is his friend and he can't burden her with our order. This was highly unprofessional and by this time we just wanted to order. We let him know that we would rather have this new waitress but he was incredibly rude and not listening to anything we said. We then asked him to warm up a tea for my mum 45 minutes later as we were still waiting for our food and it had gone cold. He said he could not warm the tea up as he can't put the teapot in the microwave. Cut to 1 hour later. We have not recieved our meals. Not a single waiter has come to our table to update us. My family members are disappointed, hungry, upset and my mother is trying to keep a brave face for us all on mothers day despite being extremely hungry. When we told the waiter that we are going to pay for our drinks and leave they expressed no remorse. In fact 1 hour and about 15 minutes later 4 simple vegetarian meals were not even cooked and they still told us that the meals are being cooked to wait further. We suspect that the meals were not even started because the waiters were completely uninterested in us leaving.There was no compensation, no communication from the waitress Thobeka for our lost evening and a bad taste in our mouths. The waiters were rude, unprofessional and lacked basic hospitality etiquette. This is a very poorly run establishment which my family and I will never visit again. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Stay away.

Food menu was excellent but the food did not match the expectations and the hype of the menu. The cappuccino bean was burnt and you could taste the bitterness in it. We were disappointed with the stale ciabatta bread. Overall the service was average and was disappointed that the chef only apologized to one table about the stale bread but neglected to come to our table to apologize. The setting was beautiful and very rustic.

Impeccable food quality, service and attention to detail. Definitely one of Durban’s gems that have maintained their standards over the years.

Great food. Great atmosphere. Great staff! 10/10 would highly recommend!
