Marlize Boshoff has 24 years experience in the Insurance Industry and is a FSA professional member of the Financial Planning Institute of Southern Africa (FPI).
Marlize also owns the title of Mrs SA Corporate Business Woman 2006.
She joined Momentum in July 1994 as an underwriter and through hard work, commitment and technical expertise she quickly moved through the ranks becoming a senior underwriter. During the same period Marlize was awarded a Momentum bursary and completed her Diploma in Life Underwriting.
Marlize's later responsibilities included underwriting audits and training of Momentum's underwriters, claims administrators and marketing advisors.
As a result of Marlize's sound knowledge and excellent communication abilities, she was asked to present a course on underwriting at the Unviersity of Pretoria. She also lectured students at the Momentum College on numerous occasions.
Marlize was then asked to join the individual life risk marketing team. As part of this team, Marlize's contribution to developing and marketing Momentum's new individual life critical illness and impairment benefits was invaluable. She was an integral part of the team that has made the product, Myriad, a huge success. Marlize not only worked tirelessly on the medical benefit definitions, but also spent a great deal of time with brokers, explaining the very technical products.
Marlize's exceptional efforts have been rewarded on a number of occasions, culminating in Marlize twice being selected to attend the annual Momentum "wow" trip. The purpose of "wow" is to recognise exceptional performers in Momentum.
Marlize became a marketing advisor in 2009 after which she became a Momentum Financial Planner. She also completed her studies in Financial Planning.
During Marlize's 21 years at Momentum, her positive attitude, professional manners, attention to detail and dedication have made her a vital part of the team.
