Marquard golf Course

Visited the Marquard Golf Course during August 2020, just after lockdown restrictions were lowered to Level 3 with a group of fellow golfers. The course has a great "country" platteland feel and the scenery while playing makes you feel that you are in the Free State. Some of the tees have great views, and the holes are quite diverse, making the overall golfing experience very exciting. The fairways were in relative good condition, however the greens were in excellent condition. Green fees are very reasonable and the Club also has golf carts for hire at competitive prices. There is a fully stocked bar and restaurant and one can enjoy an ice cold beer after a playing, or even a nice pub-style meal. The staff were also very friendly and helpful which was great. Overall, it was a great experience and I would recommend anybody passing through Marquard to play a lekker round of golf and relax afterwards with an ice cold beer.

For a small community, this golf course really plays well. The youngmens association put on a well organized event.
