I write this message wondering why and how it is after 2+ years we have not managed to allow my son and I to share a hug, a bedtime story, shadow puppets on the roof, picking up pine cones for the braai, doing carpentry, creating golf ball tracks, playing hot wheels, playing Lego etc etc I have spent hundreds of thousands of Rands with you and we have now been hit with extra costs because of a catastrophic set of events which your law firm has caused by delaying paperwork, not answering affidavits correctly and simply not understanding the due course of court and this has now broken the camel’s back as we have costs to pay. I am bitterly disappointed in the service, the result and the steps that have gotten to us to this point. You had everything you needed to win this and give my son the life he deserves - now he is being dragged from school to school losing people he loves, and this will in the long term have an effect and this sits on you for failing him. I guess I failed him too by choosing you.

After seeing the great reviews, I didn't think twice about approaching Martin Vermaak to handle a very stressful personal matter. Little did I know I was about to quadruple my stress. Looked professional at first, but as soon as I paid the deposit, things changed. They were extremely slow and took days or weeks to respond to my emails. I had to hunt them down for feedback. One of their lame excuses was that my gmail emails were coming in as spam. Once, when they were not answering my calls, I had to drive to them just to make sure they still existed, just to be told that they changed their phone numbers. The final straw came when I emailed them info to draft a legal document. After waiting weeks I finally received the document, which was the exact wording from my email with my spelling mistakes on their letterhead. I was charged hours of work for that. I terminated their services and requested a refund. Months and numerous emails later, I am yet to get my money. It's fine Martin, you can keep my money. Its not worth it chasing after you. My stress levels have disappeared and I'm in a better place since I found a very competent attorney who is handling my matter professionally. Big warning to everyone!!

Please be careful! I am extremely surprised to see these positive reviews. I suspect Martin has paid people to write these reviews. The service I received from this firm is shocking. They sent me a draft divorce contract which was full of mistakes and the cross referencing is incorrect. It seems their intention is to present documents like that in court so that the case can get thrown out and they can charge you more money to correct their errors. I had a one hour consult with Martin and I was given a contract full of extremely basic mistakes, such as physical addresses being incorrect. He did no research in terms of obtaining bank statements to acertain actual assets and liabilities. Martin charged me 17k for this and when question regaring their hourly fees I was told they billed me as they saw fit. He and all the associates at his firm just ignore my emails now and they still have my original marriage contract. I have the mens to take this further, but my heart breaks for all the other people who are in emotional turmoil and don't have the means to fight someone like Martin.

Shame, it was a nightmare dealing with these useless so called attorney's. In compitent. They sold my information to the opposition. They change the contact details like it's out of fashion. One has to drive to their offices to get any answers which in most cases is an excuse. The owner was making a statement about advocate Dali Mpofu SC, who fights for his clients. I challenged him to come online and defend his coment. He is weak and so is his entire team. Please stay away
