Mathome Training & Development (Pty) Ltd is a Skills Training Provider and Consulting services company, focussing on engineering, mining and minerals sector. It was established in 2003 as Close Corporation in order to participate in the skills development initiatives to meet the challenges of skills shortage in South Africa. It has since grown and was converted into a private company in 2007.
The company has achieved a full accreditation as a service provider of training and development interventions in the “mineral excavation” discipline within the mining operations (Specific to Underground Hardrock), ABET levels 1 to 4 including National Certificate: Introduction to Mining and Minerals Sector, certificated and listed with the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) for ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System.
