Lack of communication. Dont expect professionalism. Its not a bad product but if your business is to install per appointment then keep to it, also have the product on site that was paid for. It makes no sense to go to site with major components missing. Second appointment to complete install had to be made at my inconvenience after I called the office to find out why my product is not being installed on the arranged date.
Extremely poor experience from Maxidor Cape Town. I was scheduled for installation for my security on a specific day, however, there was no communication from this Maxidor branch to inform me of the specific time slot that they will come and install. I as a customer had to call to find out the time. When the installer came through, they came during loadshedding and thus could not perform the installation. The installation had to be rescheduled for the next day whic I didn't have a major issue with. During the installation the next day, it was found that the locking mechanism provided to the installer was faulty and the measurements taken were incorrect as the channels provided left a massive gap between the wall and the gate. I need a security gate however, Maxidor sees it fit to allow anyone to easily get past the gate. I called the sales rep at that time to discuss the issue. The sales rep spoke to the installer and had no intention to speak to me about the issue Yet again, the installer had to reschedule to make the adjustments and come back to install, mind you this was no fault of the installer. The next day, the installer had to delay the time slot we agreed upon because yet agsin there was an issue, the installer was not given the locking mechanism and he had go and purchase one It sad to know that my only point of contact is the installer abd the installer is left to handle the customers issue. I was thinking of using Maxidor for other security gates in my home and the sales rep knows this very well. From this experience, I will never use Maxidor and I DO NOT recommend Maxidor to anyone. Customer experience is not a priority and not respected by Maxidor.
I would give a lower rating but can't. After making the deposit, the service dropped to almost nothing. I had to constantly call to find out about installation and it took them months to eventually start the installation. I am still waiting for them to install all the burglar bars. I ordered it in September and it is now December. The customer service is pathetic and would not recommend them at all. I am still trying to get hold of them.
If I could give 0 stars, I would. The slowest service ever. Ordered gates in December, we knew we would only get them around the 2nd/3rd week January as they closed for Christmas and the quote stated delivery within 2 weeks after accepting the quote which would be middle January. The gates never arrived as stated per quote and I had to keep phoning for updates. Was then told of steel shortages/factory issues and all sorts of excuses Then finally in middle March they arrived for the install only to bring the wrong gates. The correct gates arrived and were installed on 18 April. Never again and I will never recommend them to anyone. You have to pay the full quote before they manufacture, but you get the worst service. I would rather pay more next time and buy from a company that values service and on-time delivery.
I have never come across such pathetic service from such a large company. Very quick to send you messages every 2 days asking when you are going to make payment. Once you make payment, you never hear from them again. Its totally up to you to follow up. Your salesman does not even have the courteousy to let you know. I called the office to find out what is going on to be told they too will get back to me... Then I recieved a message from "The salesman" Chris to say the office has been trying to call. Really? No missed calls on my phone!This after I asked on a friday, as to when is installation is going to take place..only to receive a message the following Tuesday... This after I phoned to find out what is going on. One would think in these times of financial trouble you would put in extra effort. The poor lady answering the phone has to run "downstairs" to check on the order. You clearly have some old rules and need some new blood to get with the program. Rubbish service!!!
I would like to give the lowest rating!! I paid R4000 to have a simple gate put on 3 years ago, the gate started rusting and paint started chipping when I enquired about it they said they sorry there's nothing they could do and that the consultant should have informed me that the gate was not galvanized. I'm not happy. Because now they are going to charge me again to have the gate galvanized and resprayed which I think is very unfair they promise high quality with almost a lifetime warranty not so sure anymore. Very disappointed.
I was quite disappointed in the service that I received at Maxidor. Initially they promised the stars and the moon, hence choosing them over their competitors, but the service I received once I paid the deposit was very disappointing. There were delays on the order, which was understandable due to Covid circumstances and that was not my issue, my complaint is that no one informed me of this and I had to keep on following up myself and no one could give me any answers or assistance when doing this. We had delays on other security systems form a different company and I was informed every step of the way, kept up to date with weekly emails and received great service. I felt like I had to chase and beg and keep on following up with Maxidor and really did not feel the client service was good AT all.
Worst service ever! Please don't waste your time & money! They installed burglar bars in my house and it didn't even take a week after installation my house was broken into with those burglar bars at the door. In less than 2yrs there was so much rust on those bars, I called them many times to the point I probably sent 5 to 7 emails asking them to come and assess the situation. Every time I would call they would pretend as if they don't know me. Their service and quality of their bars is bad. This is CAPE TOWN branch. Even their head office was useless in trying to address the issue. I would never recommend them to anyone. When they did is not different to scamming!!!
Great sales service, a bit of a wobble inbetween sale and install but I wanted to say thank you as it could have been a bad experience, but Massimo and the team turned it around. Happy with my Maxidor Shutter and thanks for making it a good experience.
Pathetic, complete lack of service. I would recommend you dont use this company and please dont pay the them a deposit, they took over 3 months to return my monies after they messed up my order completely. I recommend you contact Magnador rather, better pricing and much better service. no option to give zero stars unfortunately
