Lovely place. The food was really good. Big enough portions. The setup was random. Almost like they are still trying to figure out how to place tables. There is animal feeding and other activities. We couldn't do any activities due to the rain. There is also a shop where they sell home made goods like jams, lotion and cheese.
We had pizzas because we've been advised by a friend to taste them and they were very good. We ordered the same for take away The place is enjoyable. Service, we had a mistake on our order quickly fixed with a smile. But but, i read in other reviews that their milkshakes are excellent... No not at all, it's disgusting, artificial, no fruit, just some artificial syrup. We couldn't have them after tasting.
Cheese Farm & Lodge is a very cool place to visit with your loved ones, family & kids. Their hospitality is good & food is amazing. I enjoyed their Pizza with their own home made Chilli sauce. Beautiful place to holiday at if you’re looking for a small getaway from the city. Thoroughly enjoyed the Cheddar-melt schnitzel. Fun cheese making tour on-site as well.
Delicious food and reasonable prices. The place is serene and beautiful, I came here with my sisters for lunch on a Sunday the stuff was very friendly. But unfortunately we couldn’t fully enjoy being there because we came an hour before they closed so everything was a bit rushed and I didn’t get to do other activities like archery but it was an overall a great experience. I will definitely visit again
I can't say what we were expecting, but that wasn't it. That's not a bad thing, we thought it would be more commercial but I'm happy to say it wasn't. It's quant, cozy and has a nice rural atmosphere. We had breakfast and both were delicious, the cheese platter and the farmhouse breakfast. Would definitely have both again and service was quick, polite and friendly. The farmyard/animal pens were exactly as you could expect on a working farm, pens with goats, chickens, geese, turkeys and there was even an ostrich. We are avid cheese lovers and we're excited for the cheese tour. It was very interesting and the guide was very good. The overall tour though was underwhelming. The goats had already been milked today so we didn't get to see that. Then we went to the "cheese making room" but there was nothing practical going on and the explanation of the process was just pictures on the wall. The tour guide did well to keep us all engaged and interested though. At the end of the "tour" there is a tasting platter of the soft cheeses discussed in the tour and they were delicious. And we were very happy to see the same cheeses included on the cheese platter at the restaurant. The farm shop is well equipped with a variety of preserves and goodies. We stocked up our pantry with some of the niceties included in our breakfast cheese platter. We will be back for sure, we need to try the pizzas we hear so many positive things about. But it will be on our way to or from somewhere else instead of making a morning out of it.
Hands down the best pizza I have ever eaten. My husband and I were visiting some in the area and the heavenly pizza we're the only thing requested. The farm shop has the most incredible homemade bottled jam, relish and chilli sauce. Hospitality was amazing!
This is a lovely location for families with little kids. We couldn't do the cheese tour because it rained, but there was still a lot to see and experience.Food: 5/5
Well looked after extablishment. We missed the guided tour but were still able to feed the animals. Only had coffee, which was served quickly.Service: 4/5
Pizza was amazing! Although the food was great, the reception was not very welcoming, even a simple glass of water seemed to much to ask.
