Medicross Brackenfell

On the 15th February my mother had been consulted by a Dr. Whitmore regarding a fever, headache and a persistent dry cough. The GP was adamant that the underlying condition is COVID without any certainty and denied a test needing to being done - he instead gave her a script for medication - none of which contained any antibiotics. I’d like to delight everyone in knowing that she had since suffered a severe case of bacterial pneumonia and was in the ICU for nearly 10 days after. This also costed my dad close to R80,000 to help her in a private hospital while she could be booked into Tygerberg. Our attempts to address this matter on Facebook with Medicross was not acknowledged and not even a single apology was given. Don’t recommend these people at all.

Friendly reception, very patient from the call till arrival. Great service from the doctor.

Doctors & sisters are good enough, it's the receptionist who laughed at you. "Want to pay doctor accounts when medical aid will not cover it". MAKE ME SO ANGRY

I had an appointment with Dr Whitmore Jnr on 04 Aug 2022 for what I thought was Sinus / hayfewer. I told him that I usually get an injection if it is his diagnosis . NO examination or Medication, or even any kind of question about my health history or even allergies. He said I must follow him to the treatment / clinic, he handed the Sister a piece of paper and left. I recieved a injection by a staff member, and a sick note afterwards for the day before. The most impersonal and badest experience I have ever recieved! I will not recommend going to Medicross Brackenfell at all.

Assisted me immediately after not having an appointmemt after all other practices were only able to accomodate me the next day. Dr Kuhn was super friendlly and expained all possible causes for my daughter's symptoms. When returned for a follow up like I was advised, I was told I would have to pay again. This was after forking out a grand on both our consultations.

Today is Thursday. Left home at 7.15am for a 7.45am appointment. They ran out of covid test kits on Tuesday. Sent me to a lab that only opened 9am. It's now 9.50 and we're still awaiting a sick certificate and script... Been in a car for nearly 3 hrs with a child who is nauseous and running a fever I

When I arrived for my appointment, the girl did not let me inside. After she heard I had a appointment with dr Whitemore she just turned arround and was talking to the other desk girls softly for quite a long time. This discussion between them went on for quite a while. I asked her if there is a problem... And she answered me, "nothing". But kept on talking softly with each other while I was still standing outside. Then one of girls approach megeuss after they got their lies in order and told me she phoned 3 times to cancel my appointment but I did not answeranother lie... No missed calls She then told me I must go to one of the other dr's... I refused... Dr's is personal. She then told me I must have given them an incorrect nr. everything was my fault. NO EXCUSES WAS GIVEN. I asked them to please ask the dr to phone me... I am SURE they did not give the dr the message, because he has not phoned me yet. Best dr, but the girls in front must get their stories straight and do their work correctly. AFTER 2 DAYS ASKING THE FRONT GIRLS TO ASK THE DR TO PHONE ME... MY HUSBAND PHONE THIS MORNING AND ASK TO SPEAK TO THE SISTER. I TOLD HER THE STORY BECAUSE BY NOW MY INSULIEN WERE FINISH. SHE PROMISED US SHE WILL TALK TO THE DR. WE PHONED JUST AFTER 16H00 AND THE LADY TOLD US THAT DR WHITEMORE WAS SO CROSS ABOUT THIS REVIEW WE MUST LOOK FOR A OTHER DR!!! WOW!!! WE WERE HIS PATIENT FOR ABOUT 25 YEARS.

Dr Whitmore is a wonderful doctor. Very helpful with my mom and dad after my dad had his stoke and needed some medication and medical report to be completed. Gentle person with excellent manners. Staff are also professional and friendly.

It's here where if it rains and the place is even nearly empty inside and you did not have a privilege of a vehicle you would rather sit outside in the rain then be allowed in the waiting room. For something not even covid related... shame... This is Dr's who are given the opportunity to heal the sick and to help the community.. I really hope medicross gets to take note of this standard

Cold and rushed manner operating. Gone r the days where nuture and passion is shown in some private medical practices Especially when it come to dealing with kids as patience.
