Menlo Park Superspar

I usually shop at Menlo Park Spar. 2-3 years ago I would have given the shop 5 stars but I've noticed some things that seriously irritate me. 1. Displayed prices - I have frequently observed the cheaper display prices and actual prices scanned differ. This is often the case with frozen fish it's happen at least 5 times with me. Either this occurs due to incompetence or dishonesty. 2. Coffee - what the hell happened to the coffee selection. It's become expensive & what happened to that decent cheaper option see attached? I actually feature my purchase behavior around coffee prices, so Menlo Park Spar bear that in mind. 3. Prices - prices have gone up but even more so than other supermarkets. R14 a chocolate, my local gas station is cheaper. 4. Frozen Fish - Back to the fish I was almost overcharged with ... Well it was just one big lump when I tried to cook it. The small bit I tried to eat was off. Disappointed. Otherwise the shop is a good size, has a good selection of products, and ready made food is really good. Menlo Park Spar ... It's time to up your game again. We're watching.

Very clean and well illuminated. The staff are also very helpful in assisting where the product you're looking for is placed. I bothered three staff members on the same visit, where all of them were busy stocking shelves. They all went out of their way to show me the things I was looking for. I also like the display at the meat section - it has plastic doors to keep cold air from escaping from the meat coolers. This actually saves on energy as well.

Always clean. Staff and management are helpful and friendly. I live close by so I'm here almost every day. It's one of my favourite grocery stores.

Bought cottage pie that tasted delicious and the lady that served us was very polite and professional. Top notch service. The store is clean and smells lovely.

Lovely specials over the weekend, the staff is friendly and it is very conveniently located.

nice closeby...just hoping they would start selling single servings of coffees like hug in a mug or milo or coffee like other shops does.always nice to grab something early on ur way to work.or just grabbin a milo or cuppacino to spoil kids with a single cup in evening.

Wasn’t pleased with the staff service, pushing in front of the customers knocking me out of the way, then being rude when asking where items are. Being a long day at work, I just wanted to get my groceries and go home, so I had comfortable clothes on, and the security started following me through the shop too, the whole time… Then even had the nerve uto look through my bag when I walked out… and found nothing. Unprofessional

My favourite place to shop in Pretoria. Well stocked shelves with local and even some speciality products. There is a fantastic ready cooked food section, which also sells delicious fresh sushi boxes and a bakery that bakes breads and buns. The shop is always clean, staff friendly and always willing to assist. Normally parking is a breeze except for Saturdays when the Hazelwood market is on.
