The location is a bit out of town, BUT it is worthwhile! All prices are between R2/3-5 cheaper depending on the bulk you buy. They have a cards system like other shops where you can earn points for your purchase and staff was very helpful but some could do with a smile. Negative - be on the look out when they work the forklift; they didn't block the road for passing customers for safety. I also liked the fact that there where no car guards. They are open 7 days a week. We were also very entertained by so of the product names. :
I enjoy going to metro. It is automatically cheaper to travel as it is far closer to me, and prices do compare to makro. Staff will not go out of the way to assist and compare to many a food retailers but in general the staff when approached is more willing to assist and will provide you with answers to your questions.
Our one of the most affordable grocery shops. Parking can be a challenge though however this is the shop where you get most of the groceries done and less costly and fresh foods.
What an amazing place. Great prices and great service. I buy meat every time I come down to Bloemfontein. Bederf jouself. . .I tried their dry aged T-Bone what a life changer.

Please please ,please open a metro in Fauna,Fleurdal or Fichardtpark. It is far out of where I live in Pellissier and not worth driving out more petrol to shop there. It will be soooo nice if you can

Their prices are a huge benefit and you can actually see the savings... best prices.
All good products, freshness of produce excellent.......however stay away from braaiwood they claim is Kameeldoring WHICH IT CERTAINLY IS'NT!
