Midrand - Cattle Baron

This place is absolutely fantastic!! The food is amazing and always cooked to the perfect temp with meat so tender that you can cut it with a fork and it melts in your mouth!! Presentation is phenomenal and a treat to see! The house wines are local award winning wines from South Africa, and the staff is kind and attentive! The prices here are a bargain for such high quality. Although this is not considered fine dining, for me it rates higher than some of the fine dining restaurants I've been to! The owners even personally come to check on your meal and experience, and they make you feel right at home as if you went to mom and dad's for dinner! There are so many fantastic things about this place is like to share with you, but my words won't donit justice, you will just have to find out for yourself how great this award winning restaurant really is!!

Very disappointed with this restaurant. We met up with friends for dinner and although the service was not bad, the food was terrible. I had the rump steak and it was dry and flavourless and not cooked to how I requested it. To add insult to injury they are way overpriced with my steak costing over R150. For that money you'd expect much much more. I don't mind paying a bit extra for good food but after our meal I felt ripped-off. I don't think Cattle Baron Centurion will see me any time soon, nor would I recommend them to anyone.

Waited 1 1/2 hour for starters and a hour more for main course. No air-con working at 32 deg Celsius. Garlic burned and disappointing steak 1/5 R2 000 later and an awful lunch

The best menu item for starters is the Blue Cheese garlic snails - absolutely a "come back for" dish. The arrangement inside the restaurant is cosy & warm, but also private.

Very elegant space for a steak meal. Delicious food served in generous portions and the drinks are quite affordable.

Not a WOW, but convenient and friendly. Visit place again on 16 December 2016. What a disaster, the waiter disappeared to visit some pals down at Checkers!

Operating hours indicate open till 4pm,but the doors was closed by 3:30pm when we drove all the way to eat here. Not very professional for an established restautant.

Really like this spot. Good atmosphere, good food. Just a great experience
