We love coming to this restaurant whether for breakfast, lunch or tea at least once a month. Food is great and staff very friendly .... but today we were disappointed to find that there are no longer any second hand books for sale. It was a good idea to assist Woodrock animals charity and we never left empty handed. Pity this service had been withdrawn.
We have visited Munch Café several times over the years after a trip to the pet store next door. Most recently, we popped in on Women’s Day. The staff are always friendly and the service is relatively swift. The food portions are more than enough and the quality of the food served is good. They have a little pop-up bookstore selling second hand books for an animal rescue organisation. A great place to take along your pets for an outdoor area to enjoy the garden centre plants and Johannesburg sunshine.
Have been frequenting this eatery, weekly, with three friends for about three years. Staff are friendly, food is good, environment is pleasant. However. R62 for a cafe mocha is a rip off!! Happy to pay for a good cuppa, but being ripped off is not ok. Seriously, an increase of R20 odd on a coffee? No thanks. Will make an alternate plan. More expensive than Tasha's...
A beautiful spot with good food and very friendly service.
Delicious, flavourful food! I have ordered for delivery twice now with Mr D and the food always arrives fresh and is super tasty. They have a large variety on their menu - something available for the whole family. The prices are reasonable for the portion sizes. I would recommend the pesto pasta with bacon, it was delicious! Or any of the salads as they were fresh and tasty. I will definitely order again soon.
I had the best experience ever, I was served by Mirriam she was the best she made my lunch with my family so amazing she served on time, the food was hot enough and very mouth watering. I would definitely go back again, I am very happy with the play ground for the kids, overall experience was amazing.Food: 5/5
Have visited this nursery a couple of times. And I always get a coffee and some breakfast at Munch. It's a great option for kids and the waiters are generally attentive. Great cappuchino too.Service: 5/5
RESTAURANT REVIEW We had brunch at @munchcafesa yesterday and it was one of the most… disappointing meals I’ve had in a long time. I had the breakfast Pita. The bacon was over cooked, the meal was dry and not flavourful. I was full after 3 pieces but ate it all hoping to feel some satisfaction… I didn’t The staff were slow to serve us 2 people who came after us got served before us and they weren’t particularly friendly or welcoming. Restaurant RATING: Food: 1/5 Cleanliness: 3/5 bathrooms didn’t have hand towels, covid regulations were lacking Environment: 4/5 Service: 0/5 Aesthetic: 4/5 So we’d give the place a total of:
Run a garden errand and stop for breakfast or lunch. So convenient. Had the chilli mince in a bagel with a fried egg and a pot of tea. Pleasant setting. Friendly staff.
Quaint little cafe in central Bryanston. Food is fresh and of really high quality. Portions slightly small for the price you pay. Also a bit confusing when entering the premises for the first time since you need to go through the nursery or the pet store first.
