New hope school was established in 1971 in
Pretoria
New Hope School is one of the largest schools in the country which makes provision for the education and treatment of learners with special educational needs.
Education and therapy are provided by almost 60 teachers and therapists in both English and Afrikaans. Provision is made for learners from 3 years of age up to grade 12. Babies receive therapy as outpatients. The learning school is partially state subsidised and is managed by a governing body.
The school’s mission is to use technology in educating learners and, in so doing, deliver the best education to benefit the learners.
The vision of the school is to equip learners with remedial needs to become self-sufficient and independent when they leave school.
