Newton Technical High School

I applied for my daughter at the end of 1st term. I called last week at the beginning of the term and was told by Elna my daughter has been accepted she will forward me the necessary paperwork by the 14th of april. I called on the 14th and was told she's been busy and will send it monday the 17th. I called the monday and was told she will send it tuesday morning as she was busy. Today i get a call saying there's been miscommunication between her and the principal and my daughter wasn't accepted, i have to send my daughter's 1st term report. I sent it and got a call to say still not accepted due to my daughter being in a technical school in cape town and the subjects aren't the sameyet its newton technical school. I accepted a job offer to relocate to port Elizabeth and took up accommodation due to the sole fact that my daughter is accepted in the school and she would then be able to continue her schooling the way she has been in cape town. I am relocating its not like there's any other technical school in the area. I was told i have to do what i have to do but thats the final answer, didnt want to put me through to the principal, she told me he wasn't in his office.

I applied more than three times at the school my daughter was rejected 3times as well.They rejected my application cause they wanted the biological father to fill in the form funny enough I lost contact of the father I asked my husband to step in cause he raised my daughter as his own but they wanted the person's name who appear in the clinic card of my daughter .Fine I tried my best to track the guy down cause my daughter wants that specific school even after he signed on the form they rejected my daughter's grade 8 application I am supper disappointed by the school thought it was the best high school in Gqeberha what is worse I'm the 1 that is working that signed under oath in my affidavit that I will be liable for her fees cause the father they are forcing to be part of the child doesn't even contribute even his time with the child and he's unemployed and I prepared for my daughter financially

The school offers a great education system. The teachers are friendly and are qualified and do their jobs. The sport variety is good but cultural activities could be better, still good though. Overall experience is enjoyable but could use some refining in some aspects such as student enjoyment, diversity needs to be updated to the New world standards activities, events, etc by no means am I giving the school a bad name, my experience was a good one, but every school has things that can be improved.

School is really nice very clean. School always seems so jacked up when we vote there as well !
