The mission of the team is to continue in identifying and developing the talent of the local athletes and with the extended aim/structure of keeping the resident of Nkangala Region healthy and fit by accommodating adult individuals, pensioners and youth through in-expensive accessible exercise like stretch-up, jog, walk and running

"Nkangala Athletic Academy is a development Athletic club that identify and promote the talent of young athletes and sustain the talent of adults athletes. We are affiliated to Athletic Mpumalanga, with athletes in New Mexico, USA and, Middelburg, Emalahleni, Phola, Kwamhlanga, Hendrina and Caroline. We participate in Track and Field, Cross country and Road running. We have produced athletes who are compatible in world stage with more than 20 national medals."
