Quaint, peaceful and all round chilled Ocean Basket. I came in on a Wednesday and it was super quiet. Waiters were friendly and food arrived rather fast

I usually love Ocean Basket but it surprises me that a big restaurant like this cannot make a plan when there is loadshedding. They closed because loadshedding commenced

Greek dancing on a Friday night... that was fun. We've eaten here many times and were pleasantly surprised to turn up on the night they offered Greek dancing. What a treat! Hope this can become a regular occurrence. Parking: Safe parking is available right in front of the restaurant.

We often find Ocean Basket's food offering to be rather mediocre and overcooked. But not yesterday when we went there for lunch. It was during loadshedding, but that did not prevent them from serving freshly prepared and very delicious food. We tried the grilled sea bream with a side of tempura zucchini - WOW! Hugely recommended!!! Thanks to Gloria for great service too.

I’m gonna give 5 stars because it’s not the overall service I’m after. It’s the famous ocean basket lemon butter sauce … which I think is a problem everywhere. What happened? Did the recipe change? It used to be the reason I’d eat at ocean basket. It was so good the recipe is still freely available online. Everyone except ocean basket makes it. Now it’s just melted margarine with a suggestion of possibly the slight smell of… lemon??

Hi. Yesterday the 30 August was my birthday. I decided to treat my family to supper at Ocean basket as we love seafood. My family and I have always enjoyed our experience dining out at OB except for yesterday. We had the worst experience.My waitress was Florence. She was rude and in a hurry from the get go. I told her it was my birthday and she didn't even respond.i was given a takeaway icecream after having to ask for it. The food was terrible.we ordered 2xplatters for 1 which was extremely salty and dry.i asked to speak to the manager who was of no help either. OB is not cheap to pay so much only to be disappointed. It was the worst experience for my family and I. Sadly to say I won't be visiting there again.

Service leaves a lot to be desired. Waited 10 minutes for someone to take my order and after that I waited a further half an hour for my order arrive, even though the place wasn't full. What was even stranger was that; I arrived before the gentleman who was seated behind me yet the service he received was very prompt. Definitely not a great experience overall, I don't see myself returning to this branch.

Apart from having to literally waive down waiters to clear the table and having to continuously ask someone to attend to us. We ordered a platter for 2 the fish was off and you smelled it the minute it was served in the prawns were still pink. It was just the most awful experience. Parking: Fine but chaos

There was load shedding so we went out for dinner. OB was in slight darkness when we arrived but seemed to be operating. Our food was fine and the waiters were pleasant and helpful. BUT the manager was useless. He hid away in the back on his phone - with no interaction with the patrons. There were no lamps or candles anywhere. Our candle had burnt out. The bill was handwritten, and I used my cellphone torch so we could see to pay. Many ppl came and were turned away as the kitchen and dining area were in darkness. The manager never came near us to apologize or explain the situation We will not be back. Maybe those other ppl you turned away won't come back either. I just feel sorry for the staff. They lose out. And it's a Friday night. The only reason I gave you 2 stars is because of them. You deserve 0 stars. What a disappointment. We then went to a restaurant with a generator and proper managers for our dessert. Parking: Lots of free parking.

Worse place I ever have to eat at. Waitress confused about which table they're supposed to take an order to! Waitress not jovial aand seems bored, bringing food while scratching their noses and chins!!! Standard is very low, food does not taste good, it doesn't taste at all. Ocean Baskets are known to be good places but this in was a disaster effort and monitoring need to be done there... Waitresses face like they are bored and don't want to talk as if there is an issue...
