The staff were lovely and really helpful and informative, but the museum, as with most museums in this country, really needs an upgrade.
One of the best museums that I have ever visited. It is well kept and the staff are great.
The museum was closed unfortunatelybut we could still take a photo with the donkeysVisited onWeekend
A good place to find out about Upington's history, geological properties and equipment used back in the past. Afterwards there is a great steak house close by to see to the appetite you have, just follow your nose!
I was disappointed in the Kalahari Orange Museum, apparently the only museum in Upington. Inside was a shambles with alot of unlabelled miss matched junk. The wagons outside, degrading in the open air, breaks my heart as valuable treasures are being destroyed. Entrance was R30 per person and clearly this money does not go to the upkeep of this museum. I wish I had not visited here as I left angry and extremely disappointed.
Most friendly staff, and also to see some more of our history
Excellent reception. Curator very well qualified. Three degrees in history. Sorrow that a restaurant is being built which obstructs view on river.
