This rating pertains to the excellent displays on the Vredefort Impact Structure. It was a privilege to meet the artist who illustrated the geological interpretation of that cataclysmic event of 2000 million years ago. This museum deserves far better support by the powers that be.
A wonderful enlightening experience and has awakened the dorment amature historian in me... find it very, very stimulating and informative.

An excellent Museum where you can experience the history of Parys and the Vredefort Dome Herritage area
Directions are incorrect. Followed the directions offered and ended up in a suburb in Sasolburg!

Delapidated. Derelict. Closed with large rusted metal chains.
