Peel's Honey

All kinds of honey available! I bought mini pots of honey from different flowers and plants for R22/pot. As well as a few interesting-sounding honey pots. Really nice spot to stop and browse and buy. Perfect for gifts!

Oldest 100% natural honey producer in South Africa. Great little shop situated just off the N3 offering several different locally made gifts and honey products. Prices are very reasonable considering everything is 100% local. Toilet facilities are available if you buy from the shop. Ample parking also available. Remember to check that your honey is made in South Africa and not just packed in South Africa as most honey isn't pure and can be mixed with corn or sugar syrup to bulk it up. Pure local honey would cost around R65 per 500g.

Peel's' shop is just off the highway, on a turnoff to Howick, making it a convenient stopover for souvenirs and eats. There are jars of honey, pickled goods, cheese straws, and other baked goods available. The spot is also peaceful, with a small pond and a few new hives on a hill to emphasise the reason Peel's is so successful. There is also a public toilet and a playground.

Very conveniently located, just off the N3 near Howick. Lovely container stall with lots of lovely goodies. A lovely place to stop by on your way to the southern drakensberg.

Always opens late. If they say 8am, go at 9am. I don't understand why they even put a time. A few minutes late I can understand, but 35 minutes to an hour?!! I always used to stop their, but I am on a schedule so it's not possible. If they opened at 8 am as advertised I would stop there. Sorry but it's 1 star cos you wasted my time too many times. Rather stop at windmills just up the road.

Awesome little container shop just off the N3 on the Midlands Meander. Friendly helpful staff. Lots of delicious Peels honey goodies and some local baked goods. Great Terbodore take away coffee with farm fresh milk which is also sold. Cool spot

What a delight and splendor it was when I saw Peel's Honey on the N3 Howich off ramp . This was a magical treat as I have always driven at night to JNB or back so seeing this was as if it had dropped from the sky and with all that honey it surely did for me The ladies working in the shop are just absolutely amazing friendly funny and Iove their initiative to assist, awesome breaking point for JHB trip. Awesome artistic bathroom painting hangs, in the spotless toilets. From honey, pickles, combs, fruit, stuffed toys, brittles and creams. Nice picnic spot with an awesome jungle gym Keep it Awesome Peel's

Super interesting and the honey is just wow. Also grabbed a homemade lemonade while we were there which was great...lots of space for my little one to run and play to burn off some energy before we continued on our journey

Such a awesome vibe at Peel’s Honey today. Music, honey and public holiday fun. Not to mention the carrots cupcakes.
