Perky Pets is one of the leading retail pet shop groups in the country with 10 outlets scattered across the Western Cape.

The new purpose built flagship store "Perky Pets Emporium" located in Diep River, was completed in early 2010. This impressive 2 storey building boasts not only a substantial amount of pet products but also houses, a vet and an award winning grooming parlour under its roof!

Perky Pets first opened its doors in 1904 trading as Atlas Animal Feeds with the first of our many pet shops opening in the 1970's.

Perky Pets success has been cemented by our determination to uphold our vision.

Great place with great variety and service! Amazing to see all fish, birds and Guinea Pigs and all animals. First time I've seen a hairless Guinea pig in my life!
Friendly staff, could do with more variety
Friendly and very helpful staff that know's exactly what they doing. I had my ring neck parrots wings clip, the staff was so gentle with my bird. It's my go to pet shop !!!
They have a wide selection of pet products and accessories, staff are always friendly and willing to help whenever they can. The shelves are sometimes a bit empty but i do understand it is a supplier issue and they always stock up with different products that will have you wanting to look at all the interesting things for your pets. Would recommend this pet shop.
I find the service always good with friendly and helpful staff. Thank you for that. My only concern, is that there is insufficient stock which has been my issue for several months. Otherwise than that, the superb service, makes up for any bad.
Quick in and out. They have everything available for your furry fam
I took my Maltese there at the Parlour on the same premises. I'm a regular client,but the last time I took my Maltese poodle there for a haircut, some one cut her hair too short around her genital area resulting in a red,painful rash.I had to go to the vet to buy cream and get medication to treat the rash. I'm furious because I contacted the parlour a day later , but the owner did not have the decency to contact me orfind out how Daisy is doing. I definitely will not be taking her there again.
Decent selection of hamsters and rats and small birds. Great fish tank equipment at good prices. But had one huge bird stuck in a cage way to small for it. Found it quite cruel.
They don't stock much, if you looking for the basics you can go see them but don't expect a wide product range and specialized products, they cater to cats and dogs mainly.
