Petersfield Farm, Citrusdal

We stayed here for 1 night recently and even though flooding was happening in Citrusdal, we had a great stay From the time I made the booking through John Ross and welcomed by Hadley when we arrived, the service was great Stayed in Die Veepos which had everything. 3 bedrooms, a big open plan area with kitchen, lounge and fireplace. Everything we needed with gas back ups and lights in case of power outages. Nice patio undercover in both sides of the house,as well as a braai and undercover parking. There is an outside shower, bath and toilet, totally open. A real taste of nature The setting amongst the rocks was amazing and we even had a waterfall a few steps from the pool There was a short break in the weather and we did a nice hike to the farm dam Very peaceful place and great value

We had the best time. The owners have thought of every little thing. The outdoor bath was incredible. We loved staying there. Love that you feel so safe and dogs can be free as well as the teenagers

If you're looking for a private, pet-friendly, romantic getaway then Stonehaven is the place to go...Strictly 2 adults only...inside corner bath...inside fireplace...2 outdoor braais...your own plunge pool...outdoor bath with hot water...canoes at the dam...spectacular views...4x4 trail...hikes......such amazing friendly owners and staff...a real must-do-for-two!!

My husband and I had the most wonderful, peaceful weekend with our two Jack-Russels at Stonehaven Cottage, Petersfield. We were welcomed so kindly by John, who made also made the booking process and changing our dates so easy. The cottage is so homey and really has everything you need. The best part is the inside and outside bathtubs! We also enjoys hiking with our pups. We can definitely recommend!

Cannot speak highly enough about this amazing place for a getaway! We have stayed before and again, I leave wishing the stay was longer and we were booked for next month too! No wonder its so heavily booked. Highly highly recommend a stay if you are after: home comforts, braai & fireplace, amazing citrus fruit, bath indoor and under the stars, long walks where you dont see anyone for days, leash free dog space to just let them explore, peace & quiet, amazing birds, flora and fauna..... i could go on and on. Can't wait to visit again soon!

what a wonderful gem of a place. i loved the natural settings, it's really a wonderful break away from the rat race. great that my dog could roam free and was so happy. so much space, fresh air, every need anticipated at the cottage itself. can't wait to return.

Beautiful cottage in a stunning setting. The birds, the fynbos, the serenity is just wonderful. Stonehaven cottage is very well equipped with everything you need. An outdoor bathtub and the pool are a lifesaver in the heat of summer. Lovely walks and pet friendly. Thank you for the best break. Our second visit. Back again with friends I think.

Stayed at De Kom cottage at Petersfield Farm for the weekend. Didn’t want to leave. Beautiful scenery and peaceful hiking from the isolated cottage. Adored our stay. We will be back. Perfect if you want a fuss-free getaway with your dogs where they can enjoy loads of freedom. Give your pup tick medication before coming and make sure they are on leash when walking towards the dam, which has extremely steep, slippery sides.

Do you need rest? Peace? We stayed in Die Veepos and were blown away by this wonderful spot.
