After a GBV Incident they let the perpetrator go10 minutes after we left the station. As we speak its baq to square one he's even trying to break down my door. Send help because this station just failed us as women.

I would like to launch a complaint against your Swartruggens Station. The following reasons are as follows. 1 - On Friday 17 December 2021 at 08h10 at Swartruggens police station I entered the station in order to make an affidavit. When entering the station I noticed that the Covid 19 protocols were not on standard. The hand sanitizer was not identified and was placed in a "power ade" bottle. I had to inquire whether it was hand sanitizer in the bottle. The four officers were too busy playing on their cell phones and they actually ignored me. After I demanded a response they one police officer confirmed very rudely that it was hand sanitizer in the bottle. Upon approaching the desk they did not wear masks as per Covid regulations 2 - I asked one of the officers to assist me and they literally ignored me. After one officer finished playing on his cell phone he asked me what I wanted. 3 - My reason for my affidavit is such - I lost my ID documents and my driver's license . I went to the traffic department to find that they could not assist me due that Swartruggens had no electricity and they could not assist me in obtaining a drivers license. To make matters worse my license also expired. The lady at the traffic department suggested that I had to make an affidavit because I could not show them my old license and they needed an affidavit to state that my license and ID was lost and therefore I could apply for an temporary license. 4 - I tried to explain to the officers why I needed to make an affidavit. They refused to assist me and they started to insult me. One told me that I am taking chances and another one shouted at me and told me to go because I was wasting their time. 5 - I asked them for their names and they refused to identify themselves. I could not see their name badges as my eyesight is not good. My glasses were in the car and I could not read their names I hope your police officers in Swartruggens will improve their behavior and that will treat the public with more respect.
