Everyone's talking about the Airport Terminal itself. What I want to review is the gym/cricket club next to it. There's a huge warehouse sized building next to the terminal building. It has jiu jitsu in the front entrance, and going through the side entrance you get boxing and an indoor cricket court. On the cricket's side there is a tuck shop for snacks and coffee. There is more than enough space for children to play and run safely. To the side of the cricket into a midsized room there is a bar for the adults.
Relatively small airport. Doesn't get crowded. Local flights only, probable contributer to small crowds at the airport with only 1/2 airlines operational.
Gateway into the Limpopo province. It offers convenience especially traveling into the province from other provinces. Its a few kilometers from Polokwane CBD and Peter Mokaba Stadium.
1 gate, quite, functional but doesn’t seem to have any working vending machine or quick shop
Small province airport with sufficient services. Free wifi is not reliable and sometimes out of work. Staff is not proactively trying to help you. Baggage is handled with care and their is no opportunity for employees to open them or steal. You do not need to be afraid of being late if you come one hour before departure.
It is sad to see how state owned entities delapidate as a result of neglect. Toilettes not working and not even one functioning restaurant to eat something. Had to use a vending machine to get dinner. Guess what, the packet of chips was stale. Staff at the gate also not knowing what is required to be done during the process of moving through the security check. First time ever on a domestic flight that I was not only asked to remove my laptop from its bag Yes this is the standard, but suddenly everyone moving through the gate now also had to remove any charging cables for the laptop and for their cellphones Not the standard... and why the cables?. Even the "P" of Polokwane fell off the name of the airport. Come on guys, is it that difficult to put it back up and perhaps just cut the grass? Anyways, sad to see it all just going down the tubes....
Service is perfect but the place it's a mess, looks like an abandoned hostel back in the 20s needs some serious renovations pls
Small and lacks any beverages except for a vending machine, but staff were friendly and helpful.
The prices to OR Tambo International are more reasonable now. The staff was super friendly bless their hearts and check in was swift.
I haven’t been inside but the pick up was seamless. The airport allows free parking for 15minutes.
