Lived in Williston most of my life, and used to look forward to going to the post office - not anymore, sadly. I understand dealing with frustrated people all day is not easy, but this post office has failed to deliver time and time again when it comes to mail and packages. My items sit for at least a week kicking around between Williston and Essex, and then sometimes get delivered days later. Constant lines of people asking the same questions: Where are our packages? The only delivery service that seems to have a handle on delivery in the Williston area for me is FedEx. If you are given the rare option of a choice on delivery, do not pick USPS or UPS. Would give 0 stars if I could.
Go and stand in line forever. Where are my items. Delayed! Lost! No answers. Where is my stuff I ask and it’s probably at main plant the nice lady says???. Then, I’m told by her if I go to main plant in Essex to locate my stuff they will probably call the cops. But it’s my stuff. Help! One poor lady running the whole place. What is going on??
Only received mail once in the last 2 weeks. I have 4-5 packages sitting at the post office for 4 days that haven't even been scanned for delivery and they were supposed to be delivered 4 days ago, these things were ordered within plenty of time for Christmas and now I may not get them before that. Extremely frustrated by the lack of organization, must be some serious problems with management if you can't keep staff.
I wish I read reviews before I went there to drop off package. This tall big gentlemen from Nepal or India, not only that he lies to the customers, he makes sure he rip us off so he can get more money into his retirement fund. He told me three is $.20 difference between standard amd priority shipping, turns out there is $15. I emded up paying $49.5 to send Christmas present from Williston to South Burlington, that could cost $34. And whole present worth less then that! Total rip off. Very dissapointed!!!
The postal driver that delivers to our building does not deliver the mail. We have seen them pull up multiple times and sit in the truck for a few minutes then pull away. We get the Informed Delivery stating we have mail coming but it only comes maybe once a week. We keep receiving mail extremely late. We had items that were mailed in early November that expired end of November and we didn't receive them until into December. The delivery driver seems to be holding all the mail and making one delivery a week instead of daily as they should. We all understand that every one is short staffed and over worked but being 2-3 weeks behind on deliveries is a bit much when it has arrived at the post office and the USPS has marked it as out for delivery. This is specially frustrating when we see the mail truck pull up and then drive off without attempting to deliver. I know this isn't just a package delivery truck either, because they actually have been delivering regularly, just the mail that doesn't. Extremely disappointing and I wish UPS or FedEx would take over delivering the regular mail.
This is one of the most inept operations I've ever encountered. Our regular mail delivery happens MAYBE once every 3 days, and package delivery - forget it! Our packages are almost always delayed so I can't even count on getting something when I need it. With all the complaints I see, WHY DOESN'T SOMEONE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS HORRIBLE POST OFFICE?!
No mail service for a week. I’ve had mail waiting for pickup and the mail carrier drives by without taking it. No response when I call the post office. What is the point of USPS if they no longer deliver mail?
Worst post office. Someone needs to go in there and clean house.
This is easily the best USPS staff I have ever encountered and I have lived in several places in Vermont as well as California. They truly went above and beyond for me both today and yesterday. They are friendly, understanding, and really do care when your package was meant to arrive and hasn’t. Today someone delivered my package to me in their personal vehicle an hour after close because I had called about it several times very concerned. In a world where people increasingly care less and less about strangers, it’s so refreshing to know that these kind and attentive people work for my post office. I cannot thank them enough.
A postal worker again entered the WRONG ZIP CODE for tracking on my time sensitive Priority Mail package. My package was going to NH, but it ended up in the little town of VT. I called yesterday and while I was trying to explain my reason for calling, the postmaster talked over me, complaining about his two hour zoom meeting. I called because I knew my package would be lost forever at my expense if I didn’t act fast. Sure enough, they received it, saw the error, but put it in a pile to be redirected to another facility. The postmaster called me back. He found it, repackaged it hopefully, unopened and said it would be delivered TODAY. That’s impossible!!!. It SHIPPED TODAY. It’s in Burlington, VT. Delivery expected Nov 2.....and too late!!
