To reach the people, art must move into the streets. Public Art Project animates social spaces with a range of artistic happenings, site specific performances, installations, visual art and inter-disciplinary collaborations.
PAP, in collaboration with the Vrystaat Arts Festival, aims to stimulate public thought, support local and national artists and continue interaction with international creatives.
The seed money for this initiative was kindly donated by the Julian Knight Family Trust.
With the architecture of the past as backdrop, artists react to their present to create a vision for the future.
