2. Our intention is to be the life-line of entrepreneurs, particularly those based in townships and rural areas, by providing the necessary support to those businesses which are already in existence, but are struggling as well as encouraging the establishment of new ventures.
3. Our government’s biggest post-liberation ideal has been to elevate South Africa’s status from a third economy to a second economy.
4. Economic empowerment of the previously disadvantaged is a key deliverable in this regard; with this in mind, the Co-operatives endeavors will focus on closing the gap between informal business and the mainstream economy.
