Description

We offer a cost-effective, flexible quantity surveying service, incorporating
financial management activities where appropriate, that will span the
conceptual, design development and the implementation phases of the project.
We comply with the following typical scope of quantity surveying service:
PRE-CONTRACT SERVICES
1. Provide financial design and criteria advice.
2. Prepare preliminary and comprehensive estimates of construction cost and
providing such other cost advice as may be reasonably required prior to the
commencement of preparing tender documents.
3. Prepare list of tenderers for approval in respect of Principal Contract tender.
4. Compile and issue Principal Contract Bills of Quantities for tender
procurement.
5. Review and analyse Principal Contract tenders received, including
examining and verifying pricing of Bills of Quantities.
6. Prepare Bills of Quantities for incorporating into formal contract
documentation.

CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION SERVICES
1. Prepare valuations for issue of payment certificates including calculating,
evaluating or verifying fluctuations in costs where applicable
2. Prepare monthly cost reports including reporting on estimated final cost
3. Attend cost report, site and ad hoc meetings as necessary
4. Measure, price and agree all variations including dayworks, site
instructions, etc.
5. Compile the final account, negotiate and finalise same with the Principal
Contractor and subcontractors

Developers and subcontractors

-Estimating the development cost at planning / feasibility stage; advising on various courses of action and procedures to suit the particular requirements of the project.
-Procurement of a suitable building contractor(s); preparing documents for the tender procedure; negotiating the construction cost with a
contractor; reporting on tenders, including financial comparisons with the budget
-Preparing schedules of predicted cash flows
-Evaluating and verifying monthly interim claims from the contractor; ensuring a market related cost is paid for approved variations.
-Maintaining a running cost report of estimated final costs and monitoring against budget; highlighting possible overruns in advance.
-Agree the final account with the contractor; act as cost specialist in any disputes between the client and contractor.
