The 2nd oldest pub in Johannesburg with a great old Johannesburg atmosphere. Was run by the iconic Mannie until he died a couple of years ago & has been carried on by his wife & son. Jazz evenings on Saturday nights. Fantastic place.Food: 5/5
Old school bar that has survived the times. They play all the football, if that's what you're looking for. The food is all cooked the same way it was 30 years ago. If you're looking for a place to fill your stomach at a reasonable price, you won't be disappointed. 5 stars from me.Food: 5/5
Best pizza in town! Friendly service and great atmosphere! Please support this local business. Tuesdays are half price pizza for sit-down only and quiz night, too, where you can win a meal voucher.
Nice place but it used to be nicer back in the day. Food was average, we had no service and the place is dingy. Nice crowd. The area is not so safe.Food: 3/5
Love the atmosphere, the fried sardine was excellent. Only challenge is the neighborhood. Wouldn't walk one meter there if not necessary. Worth it, though.Food: 5/5
A very nice venue for live music. A historical building of Johannesburg. Very nice pizza. A venue you must experience a live show atFood: 5/5
Nice little place. Lots of history and good vibe. Food is really good and well priced. Well worth the visit
Best beerhall in town. Friendly, professional, great cuisine and welcoming cozy ambience. Many wonderful memories are shared in it’s halls.
Meet the locals on the east side of Louis Botha Avenue. Extensive Portuguese style menu with starters, mains and desert. Had the sardine starter as well as the calamari steak starter, good value for money. Pizzas are on half price special on Tuesdays, large selection. Mondays prego and chips with castle draught for R60, quarter chicken and chips for R35. Draughts a bit expensive for this establishment at R32. Recommended if you want to see the other side of the street
Very nice victorian bar from 1929, if I could remember correctly. The place got a lot of character and potential. Always nice just to stop and have a ice cold beer. They only had four beers on tap.
