Having a blast at the Rand Show 2023. What an amazing event with lots to see and do. The Lavida Bars look stunning, and the cocktails are going down fast. The entire vibe of the show is on its own level.
The military was all out. It was like a military expo with their people more than willing to explain. They would start talking to when you were just looking, a direct opposite to the government services hall- hall 9 except the forensic stand. Gone are the days where you could buy clothing at reasonable prices.
Was my first time to the Rand Show, reminded me of the ROYAL AGRICULTURAL SHOW in Pietermaritzburg but this is on a smaller scale. Fewer animals. Rides were enjoyable, Nickelodeon shows for the kids were packed to capacity, very disappointing 3 shows a day and the duration is only 10mins each show. The motorcycle stunts and drag racing was pretty awesome to watch.
Lots to do make sure to bring a hat sunblock and.you have to try kadima curry sauce ,it's delicious. The rides look nice.the drifting was nice ,the helicopter looked nice.the train looked nice. There were a lot of people . Im just disappointed because I didnt see the Samsung exhibition. Roco mamma's truck had the best food and the cheapest.
A whopping let down. No real selection of goods to browse. Kind of like a low budget flea market. If you're keen to see a hall dedicated to government services, lots of SANDF, SAP then your 95 bucks entry will be well worth it. An absolute let down! No real theme park took my family of 6 specifically to have a day of fun on the rides Entry fee would be better spent on a burger from McDonalds.
Too much to see for a one day visit only.......
Had an incredible time. Food and drinks were great and easily accessible and endless options. Definitely attending next year one and would recommend you do!
What an exciting day we had as a family! Can't wait for next year's show!
We attended the show in 2018, was disappointed in the content of the halls, but SADF show was really good. This year very disappointed in everything. All halls basically a repeat flea market, quality of exhibitors very poor. It was a high light to go look for high priced branded items at show prices. Can't think of any brand at the show. 2 halls closed, very poor
What a waste of money going to the Rand Show. I'm okay paying R100 for a ride that you would normally pay R30 to R50 at most. My issue is it was not well organized,in terms of ticket sales. Few times they ran out-of tickets and we had to wait. At the ticket office , they could have put separating panels for queuing. Three lines in one line. Not enough bin for litter. The kiddies area was pathetic, actually it was a joke. Bravo to the actors whom performed and entertained the kids. The actuall set up ,stage and lighting was jotting compared to what was advertise. False advertisement. I was not expecting a five star event but the organizers should have tried much more better that what they did. No healthy stalls that serves food. Only chips and greesey food. Maybe I missed the target market . Rather go next door- Gold reef city.
