A really good veterinary practice. A number of great vets work under Dr De Cramer. The practice was phenomenal in looking after my Miniature Pinscher, Frankie. He was in for just over 2 weeks and I got a call from Corinne everyday to update me on how he was doing. The surgery was a success and Frankie is making a good recovery. And finally, the cost didn't put me in the poor house. I paid what I thought would be a part payment as a deposit and in the end it covered all costs. Amazing! I'm really grateful to Dr Cramer and all his staff and cannot praise them highly enough.
What a pleasant experience we had on a rainy Saturday afternoon with our golden oldie Katinka who had an emergency. From the reception to the Dr we were treated with kindness and professionalism and we left very happy customers. Thank you to all the staff that attended to us today
The WORST vet service - greedy drs / no care and compassion which resulted in our beloved dog dying because of Dr Kramers incompetence - not properly equipped to deal with big dogs but he wants to treat all animals due to greed -suggest to all those who have had a bad experience to file a complaint with the Vet Council of SA- I certainly will sue due to the unnecessary and inhumane way my 2 year old dog died
Awesome vets that really cares about your pet. They have saved many of my dogs that were on the brink of death, just this week Dr Darius helped saving my Jack Russell from a puff adder bite. I would highly recommend them. Best vets in Gauteng. They are the only vets I trust with my dogs.
Our pets have been patients at the Rant en Dal Animal Hospital for close to 15 years now. During that time we have had our trials and tribulations. We have lost pets and we have had pets who recovered very well too. At first, we were a bit taken aback by the "bedside manner" of one of the two primary vets at the practice, just to find that he is perhaps too direct for some people to be comfortable with him. That being said, he is one of the most brilliant medical professionals we have ever come across and frankly, we couldn't care less about a vet being "polite" as we are only concerned with the best possible diagnosis and treatment we can possibly get for our pets as well as detailed factual understanding of the condition. The breadth of his knowledge and his skill is second to none. The other partner is just as good but just more of a people person. There have been instances where we've gone to hell and back because of a snuffles outbreak which also had a rare secondary bacterial infection. This ordeal lasted almost 8 months and during that time the vets and staff went above and beyond to help us save our cats' lives all 8 of them. It was an expensive experience, but we have also seen firsthand what other practices charge in Krugersdorp and Fourways, Rant en Dal is most certainly quite a bit more reasonable when you look at the costs. That being said, it is a business and not a financial credit provider or a charity organization. Medical supplies and skills cost money and just because it is for an animal does not make the medical research involved any cheaper. Pharmaceuticals are pharmaceuticals and are sold by the same big pharma companies that sell human medication. Also, vets like any other medical professional are not miracle workers. We've lost pets because there are medical conditions such as renal failure or congenital heart conditions that just cannot be cured. My wife and I would like to extend our deepest thanks and gratitude in particular to DR de Cramer and DR Huberts for their support and assistance over the years. Unfortunately, we are moving and the one thing we will miss the most would be our veterinary practice and the people who work there who have become like family. Nothing has ever been too much for them so far as it comes to the well-being and treatment of our animals and we have many. They are our children, our be-all and end-all and they have been treated as such for the last 15 years by the outstanding people at this practice who we've trusted implicitly with the most important parts of our lives. Words cannot express our gratitude.
Wonderful service! They make so much effort for your animals in terms of treatment etc. They really go the extra mile. 100% Professional, friendly and informative when it comes to your pets well-being. Our little hedgehog is doing great! They really know how to treat exotic animals.
They were waiting for us and ready to assist. Very efficient and helpful. Comforting with our loss.
