Roodebloem Studios is Cape Town’s original one-stop photographic studio and equipment rental company.
Situated just 5 minutes from the CBD and home to 11 magnificent shooting spaces, we strive to be the ultimate photographic rental and studio location for the Film and Stills industry.
We started in 1996 in a stunning 100-year old stone church and immediately set the bar for quality rental service for both local and international teams. Our Church studio features column free spaces with varnished wooden floorboards and a ceiling of 13m with a adjustable white bounce above the infinity curve.
The Roodebloem Daylight building features daylight, drive-in and modern kitchen studio facilities along with a mezzanine level and roof deck over-looking table mountain and the harbour.
No attention to detail has been spared in creating what we feel are wonderfully designed and diverse spaces.
With such a wide and varied selection of spaces, clients can choose between daylight, blackout or outdoors.
The studios all have wifi, a bose sound system, make-up room/stations and bathroom and carry a large 3-phase power supply with Wi-Fi internet access.
Our on-site gear rental facility provides an extensive range of Flash (Profoto) and digital (Canon/Nikon/Hasselblad/apple) equipment along with many accessories.
Our digital and photographic lighting equipment is thoroughly maintained and serviced and we'll happily out-source any gear that is unavailable from our stock or not currently on our gear list.
We have a secure equipment loading bay and off street parking available to ensure tight security and safety as you offload/collect equipment needed for your shoot/event. This is further assisted by our full-time car guards and CCTV system.
Aside from Stills and Film shoots, our studios are also available for event venue hire and have played host to weddings, corporate functions, exhibitions, product launches, workshops and more. All studios are beautiful blank spaces that you are able to paint, install and decorate to suit your events needs. We have an on-site rental equipment facility from which to get anything needed for one’s shoot. Our extensive range of flash (Profoto), digital (Canon / Nikon / Hasselblad / Apple) and accessory (Manfrotto / Gitzo) rental equipment is thoroughly maintained and serviced.
