There were 2 ladies at reception. The slim one is experienced and very helpful while the other lady is rude.
I think the customer service and efficiency can really be improved. I have to add that the staff are excellent and they trying. But it’s like almost trying to push a vehicle with flat tyres
I think service can be improved Advice, ask people outside the queues what service they require, many people were turned inside after standing outside for more that 90 minutes. Don't assume that all people can file their taxes online give guidelines on how to file and firstly why they in the branch. There were only two people assisting with filling
The lady that helped me with registering for my tax number was very good, but it took FOUR hours to get to there. Incompetent in terms of keeping the line moving. Most of the tills were not even manned and there was almost zero concern for the people waiting in line for hours on end. How can you employ an automated system that does not work? The premises were very clean though...
I waited 3 and a half hours in the seated que. There were other people who have been waiting even longer. You would think that the staff would by now have figured out that their system does not work. When it was eventually my turn, the lady who helped me was extremely unfriendly and rude. She does not even have the decency to greet. Big thumbs down. Hope I never have to go back there again.
They efficiently help you. Even when there are many people. It can be slow, especially since tax returns were more of a priority. I arrived at 9 but finished at 4. Though, they have a system that tries to accommodate everyone. In due time. Better to arrive early.
Louis Kgakgamedi in Randburg TPS, is very disrespectful, can't use the proper words to communicate to an individual. I am at SARS and all the stuff is incompetence besides Ms Joyce, everyone is just full of negative energy as if they don't wanna work. This is my second time going to SARS in Randburg and I received a horrible service. I needed my tax number cause on my efilling it doesn't show, the body language responses I received were nauseating. I'm saying body language cause this person Louis just shoved a piece of paper in my face without explaining anything. I've been at SARS since 12am, I am still at SARS as we speak, nobody is attending me and I need my tax number as my workplace Gabe me an off day today to get it. And I still don't have it. If people don't have a purpose of waking up in the morning and doing their best at their workplaces rather they stay home cause even their call centre agents is full of incompetent, lazy bunch of people. I tried calling the call centre as well, I requested a call back, they never did, I called again and was on hold for 28min while I was told my waiting period is in 11min. If they have forgotten their duties at work, rather they undergo training again, or bloody leave the job and let competent and passionate people who would like to work, work! This is totally unacceptable!!!!!
Made 2 calls to SARS in the last 2 weeks. The first was 47 min long and the second was 40 min long and both of them had a 20min wait before i was assisted. The agents who assisted me were extremely great but can SARS come to a place where they communicate better? I didnt need to be on 2 extremely long calls for both of the agents to tell me my bank account is invalid. I simple email would have communicated that a month and a half ago when i should have been told.

Honestly their service is not bad however the stuff isn't considerate and cannot think on their feet I was there to do something simple today which was to register as a tax payer but I got turned back due to an issue with the proof of residence that I hadit belongs to a parent however I had my bank statement with me which had my address which they could've used instead but they didn't even bother to ask for it as an alternative since it is a long process to confirm a proof of residence that is in connection with one who is deceased, they were too quick to turn me back instead of following a procedure since not everyone knows it all, they put too much pressure on citizens which is stressful and unnecessary, I found that to be unprofessional cause it is written on their website that you need to have your bank statement with you but when you get there they don't even look at it, I honestly would have loved to get better advice instead of being dismissed too quickly without gathering enough information to find out whether that person can be assisted in another way. I believe that these people should be trained to provide all available options/alternatives instead of chasing people away for simple things like proof of residence.
