All of my dogs are Save a Pet dogs and they are honestly the most rewarding creatures. Not only are they my family but they enrich my life in so many ways. Save a Pet honestly cares for the health of all their animals and the people who work there really care about finding the best home. An nominal adoption fee applies much less than what you would pay at a breeder. If getting a puppy, the first couple of vaccines are already up to date and the dog is microchipped. You are required to have the dog fixed when they are six months but save a pet pays for this as well. If you adopt an older dog, vaccines are up to date as well as sterilised. There are so many doggies running around the world without love and homes. Please adopt and don’t shop.
Today, in an amazing by twist of fate, Save-A-Pet became Save-The-Pets. Save-A-Pet has always excelled at providing a home for the many homeless animals of PE. However, the scenario changed drastically today when a raging bush fire threatened to engulf this animal home. An urgent distress call went out to "Save-The-Pets". PE inhabitants speedily responded in their droves to successfully move all the dogs and cats to safety. Brett Steyn and I only managed to arrive in the later stages and were assigned to monitor the hot spots below their cages. Together with other tired firefighters we all ended up beating out a number of new flare-ups. Well done to Farm Com, Fire and Emergency Services volunteers and especially Pam for giving us two beaters. Everyone present was collaborating and fighting the fires, handing out water and generally showing tremendous teamwork between all groups present. PE is proud of you all!!!
Found three puppies at Greenacres. Obviously had been abused. Full of ticks, fleas and worms. Save a pet took them in, even though their kennels are overflowing. I am so grateful to them for taking the three waifs in. Hopefully they will get adopted by kind people and the rest of their lives are happy and healthy.
Our 2 beautiful pups adopted from Save A PET what a blessing they are in our lives
Such a wonderful place doing amazing work! I just wish more people would support them.
An absolute disgrace. There are about 100 cross-breed dogs who need a home. From the beginning you have to prove your worth, even if you already have pets of your own and a huge home and yard area, eg 22ha, 22 000m2. My farm fence is apparently not high enough yet I have a big dog who hasnt escaped yet.. just shocking.. they denied a dog the privilege of our home and love
They do great work for abandoned pets. Do sponsor whatever you can, as the funds go towards a good cause.
With me wanting to adopt a dog who lives in a 4 foot cage and the say my yard is to small so they don't want you to adopt dogs. How can you keep a dog away from a loving home coz your yard is 5 meters to small for them.
The animals and enclosures are very well kept and the charity shop is well stocked with all sorts of fun finds. Worth the drive!
Spent some time with the local doggies if you're looking for something to do that gives you joy pop around and hug a dog
