Experienced horrible service at Renault Seamans Port -Elizabeth, firstly my car was booked in for manufactures fault 1st week of January a car that was bought June the previous year , my key would not enter the ignition, they loaned me a courtesy car, they did inspection and ticked all the dents and scratches, upon using the vehicle I found scratches and dents that they did not report nor tick on the vehicle of which I had to point out and report myself. Yesterday 01/03/2023 I received a call that my car my ready after 2months of using their loaned vehicle . My husband was told that we had to pay an amount R10000 on the spot for dents on the vehicle in order to get my vehicle that they were repairing, basically my vehicle was held hostage , I felt threatened , as I believe that the could have been another solution instead of the manager keeping my vehicle hostage and demanding R10000 on the spot, yes the is a scratch that i am responsible on the body and rim , I mean after 2 months of having the vehicle that is a likely accident , the scratches don't even amount to R10 000, also why did the give me a car with already existing scratches and dents if they claim that they have to fix the vehicle after my use, why were the already existing scratches and demy not fixed before as the manager claims that they do not claim from their insurer for scratches and dents less than R10 000 , another question is whether clients that were loaned this car previously and made the dents, were they made to pay R10 000??? if yes why were they not fixed. bad service overall. @renaultsouthafrica , not happy with the brand itself , a brad new car already needed to be fixed with in 6 months of purchase because of a faulty ignition and that took 2 months.
Received excellent service from Jolene, sales lady. She is very friendly and knowledgable. She kept us in the loop during the whole process and was very quick to respond to all our queries. Highly recommend.
Made contact with Seamans since May 2011. Still satisfied today. Vehicle maintenance support staff very informative and keen to assist. Parts department offer regular updates. Easily accessible from Settlers highway..
Now what is the point of booking and coming at 06:00 being the second car if you still going to wait the entire day?? Why is it that this branch always has extra things that they want you to purchase ALL THE TIME. If you want efficiency I suggest you go to other dealership/branch. I'm actually fed up with this branch. They always want you to pay way more than you have to and on top of that take the entire day to finish a regular service. Very dissapointed. I'm willing to travel to the other dealerships than deal with this one.
Looking good & their merchandising is perfect
Brought my car in twice for the same issue, loud noise when reversing still told the problem is normal ... Staff is friendly however... Just very unhappy with Renault's response to my issue.
