Shanguni Lodge

Staying at Shanguni Lodge is like staying at your own "home". We have stayed at the Lodge a number of times when we visit Johannesburg enroute to Kruger National Park. The Lodge itself is absolutely fabulous from the decor, the design of the buildings and the friendliness of staff. Staff member Earnest is a great guy who never forgets his guests no matter how many months has passed between stays - and nothing is too much trouble for him in the manner he looks after you. Caroline is also a great host and is ever reliable in ensuring a pleasant stay. The location of the Lodge is ideal for those arriving or departing from O R Tambo International Airport which is around 15 minutes by car from the Lodge. Additionally the location is in a great "village" of Edenvale which offers everything needed by travellers - there is no need to visit the larger shopping malls - shop local - it is well worth it. All in all the Lodge provides an ideal place to stay when visiting South Africa and comes highly recommended.

Had an amazing stay with Caroline for a full week. She's extremely kind and welcoming, was very accomodating to make us breakfast at the time that was most convenient, allowed me to do a very late check-out without charging and was extremely helpful during the stay. The lodge is very well maintained, the service is excellent and rooms very comfortable and clean. Highly recommended!

I couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable short stay than I had at Shanguni Lodge. The decorations were marvelous, the breakfast superb, and the company fabulous. You have an ideal lodge. I am a businessman and regularly stay at Shanguni Lodge in Edenvale.The rates for bed and breakfast are very fair and the owner and staff are always welcoming and remember our needs. Shanguni lodge is clean,has safe parking,and near to OR Tambo airport and freeways.I always feel safe and happy when I am away from home.

The BnB is located in the heat of Edenvale, very close to the supermarket and eating places and about 10 minute drive from OR Tambo Airport therefore it is a 30 minute drive to Johannesburg center The rooms are big, clean and comfortable and nicely decorated. The owner Caroline is lovely and welcomed me warmly. She prepares a great breakfast in the morning with eggs, fruits, yogurt and cereals, coffee and tea. Rooms have everything to make a coffee/tea as well as a fridge and microwave to prepare something small for dinner. The BnB has a very nice terrace and it is very quite. I had a great staz. The only downside is that internet is a bit slow and limited to 100 MB. But I bought a sim card at the Airport which worked perfectly for me.

The place is wonderful, quite and secure. The lodge owner Caroline is so helpful and kind. while at Shanguni lodge I experienced true hospitality from both Caroline and Enersto. Shanguni lodge is indeed home away from home
