"I am all about adventure wedding & elopement photography emphasised on grand adventure and epic landscapes. Putting people in the most magnificent backdrops, my photography style can be described as adventurous, unobtrusive and centred around telling an authentic story through photographs that are filled with emotion and beauty.I am inspired by our dramatic and rugged coastlines, windy mountains tops, mystical forests and forever chasing that golden sun.I fell in love with being outdoors before I fell in love with photography.That all being said and done, I absolutely love photographing weddings. This is the one! Yup, you can stop searching. Sharyn was the perfect person to capture our wedding. She made all of us feel so comfortable, provided many laughs and at the end of the day her personality added core memories to our wedding day. Very professional and always three steps ahead when it comes to planning and coordinating. Her shots are unique to say the least and we received our preview photos very quickly. She made us feel special and gave regular updates throughout the process- we are proud to say our wedding photos were taken by Sharyn Hodges Photgraphy remember the name.
Sharyn is an absolute gem of a photographer! She truly is one of the kindest people I know, and she made our first time meeting her like we had known her for years. She took us adventuring through the beautiful Tsitsikamma forests when we first met, and a few months later photographed our wedding, as well as an additional shoot at Emily Moon. Each time she took the most jaw-dropping photos. Our wedding photos are breathtaking and so uniquely us. Sharyn's passion shines through, and she is pure magic behind the camera. She has the knack for making you feel so comfortable, and she really captures your true self in her work. Sharyn is exceptionally kind, talented, and definitely recommended to anyone and everyone. We couldn’t thank her enough! She is truly worth her weight in GOLD!
I had followed Sharyn's photography for 7 years before we got engaged and for me she was a non-negotiable for my dream wedding. And wow was she better than we had ever imagined. Not only is she an incredibly talented photographer with an eye for the perfect picture, she is generous with her time and her care. She genuinely feels the whole day with you, doing everything in her power to capture it and make you feel so incredible at the same time. And she is a flipping awesome human who we just loved spending time with. My husband was quite nervous about our couples photos, but with Sharyn's coaching and help he felt so comfortable and was able to just get lost in the fun of it all. We were unlucky enough to have a very rainy misty day on our wedding which i was devastated about because I was so excited for sunset "bangers". Sharyn didn't even bat an eyelid and spent another two hours with us the next day, producing some absolute magic. My only complaint about Sharyn is that she is so talented that choosing our favourites for the album was near impossible. Thanks Sharyn, you were a huge part of our dream wedding becoming a reality. And to any couples planning their wedding, you would not be in kinder, more talented and fun hands than Sharyns.
Sharyn shot my engagement and our engagement shoot the morning after our engagement and all I can say is: WOW!!! She makes you feel so comfortable and really gets the most beautiful shots! So lucky to have her as our photographer for this special occasion. She’s just amazing
Oh where to start… Sharyn is just a down right amazing human, she is down to earth, an animal and plant lover and absolutely hilarious. My husband and I did our engagement shoot with her and weren’t exactly seasoned in photography space and were quite nervous, but she made us feel so comfortable and we honestly had the most fun at the Robberg Nature Reserve. On our wedding day she was just as amazing, again made us feel comfortable and laugh and came up with creative ideas which is so helpful when you have a million things going on. She arrives and just gets on with it absolutely hassle free. She is also so amazing at directing your bridal party although not her job - Sorry Sharyn!, she is firm and helps things move along swiftly so as too not waste your precious time. Our photos were out of this world beautiful - on both occasions and we couldn’t have dreamed of more We really could not recommend her enough, she is accommodating, understanding and willing to help especially with all the rescheduling with Covid. What a legend and BANGER of a human!!!
Sharyn is not only the MOST talented photographer, she is also one of the warmest, down-to-earth and kindest humans I’ve met. We had our engagement shoot with Sharyn, and the photos are breathtaking. She will also be shooting our wedding and I’m beyond certain she will deliver. My fiancée and I were concerned about being awkward in front of the camera, but Sharyn made it feel like second-nature. She is worth every cent, and more.
Sharyn adds a sense of uniqueness to your special day with her moody photography. Taking photos on our wedding day was an adventure! Sharyn was our wedding photographer and we couldn’t have made a better choice! She was a pleasure to work with, and the photos are stunning! Before the wedding we met up for coffee to discuss ideas and make sure our personalities gelled they did!. In the madness running up to the day she was a calm voice to talk to, and on the day she was always there to capture the real moments. She also made the couple shoot straight after the ceremony really comfortable. We really love her raw and grungy, and yet still clean and elegant photographic style. Your wedding day flies past so quickly, you barely remember what happened - we are so glad we have Sharyn’s photos to relive the day.
