I am a trained professional in possession of a BA Degree in Theological Studies & Pastoral Counselling. I am registered with the Council for Counsellors South Africa, registration number CO 2066.

I believe that addiction is a very complicated and involved issue. It affects many people, not only the person in active addiction. That is why I have tailored specific outpatient based treatment / counselling programs to suit my client’s needs.

We are all different and we all took a different path to get to where we are now, therefore, what works for one person may not work for another.
My programs (after assessment) will be directly focused on the individual need of my client.

Having dealt with my own child and his addiction as well as my own emotional issues I studied to become a counselor so that I could assist others. Her passion, and insight into matters recovery, family and in particular, addiction and recovery issues relating to woman and partners are astounding. In my opinion she's got the ability to be the best in the country in this specific niche and I wholeheartedly endorse and support her in her mission. I met Shelley when i was rock bottom in my addiction!  What an amazing counselor she is, to have! A lovely human being, filled with so much love, understanding, compassion and empathy. I found Shelly accidentally in one of the worst days and times in my life. I always say it's a long way back from HELL and Shelly made this possible. I was able to Express and tell her the most awful things and walk away with dignity every time. With expert advice amd tools and strategies to cope with situations and life I have made the most AMAZING progress. Many therapists many sessions and thousands have never got me as far as Shelly did. In my lifetime of therapy I would say in her field she is the absolute BEST.

A great counselor is a person who is totally committed to the clients they are serving. They realize that to become the best tool they must be engaged in continued growth professionally and personally. They have the ability to see beyond the spoken word and connect what is truly happening in a client’s life through even the unspoken words. A great counselor is someone who enjoys helping those they serve [to] become empowered by guiding their clients to become life problem-solvers. Ultimately, a great counselor works themselves out of a job with a client by helping [that client] to learn to navigate life on their own and cope independently post therapy. Therefore, working closely with Shelley I have not seen her lacking in any of the above qualities.  She is the best and experienced. I would recommend her any day!

Shelley is a wonderful woman who helps women who are battling with addictions, emotional trauma and plenty more. She is a very trustworthy and understanding lady who understands and helps everyone who reaches out to her. I recommend her to anyone who has a problem and would like to get help. Shelly is truly a dedicated therapist. She always goes above and beyond to help her clients. She can't help but get emotionally involved and never gives up no matter what the obstacle. She is one of the best.
