Absolutely loved it here. The outdoor shower is awesome. Rooms are spacious and unit overall very comfortable. To be in the "middle of the wild" but with all the creature comforts. I would definitely be back in the future. The breakfast is also tasty and with great staff/service.Rooms: 5/5
Silonque bush estate was an unforgettable experience, just like a dream! I was welcomed with delicious drink and beautiful staff. Next to Kruger park, it offers beautiful swimming pool and tennis courts. Silonque staff was very friendly, accommodation very clean, breakfast delicious. I highly recommend massage and tree walk. Most beautiful place to stay with friends and family, to enjoy evenings with bra and sounds of birds. You can see elephants from balcony and it is absolutely best place to connect to nature! I will come back for sure!
silonque is a beautiful place and scenery, it was really surprising when i spotted an elephant right by my window but yoh i think you guys should improve the breakfast it was the same thing everyday. also the places weren't really well kept like i understand it's located in bushes but there were quite a lot of cockroaches and spiders even on the first day we came. the ladies who cleaned me and my sisters unit were really judgemental + kept on saying we're untidy but we kept everything in the fridge and we just left our clothes on the nightstands because honestly the wadrobes/cupboards were really dusty and filled with cobwebs. personally i would just come back for the animals and scenery ‍
The units are clean. Staff is friendly. But the estate needs some serious attention. The unit we stayed in also needs some attention. The fridge is a bar fridge. Only a few drinks and now food and the fridge is full. The kitchen is very small and the oven was very dirty. The couches needs replacement. The main pool is broken and it looks like awhile already. The staff who cleans your unit is also the staff who gives you a massage.
The location and the lodge itself is truly amazing and breathtaking. The pools are well kept. Shingi helped alot and was really patient with us, We spotted an elephant near our rooms . The kitchen had roaches, the rooms need proper cleaning, when the ladies clean they leave 1 tissue per room we ended up running out of tissue and calling them at night to provide us with tissue. We had electricBreakfast is the same meal every day and they didn't offer cereal even though we asked for it to give our 2 year olds for breakfast we were told to give the babies muesli and yogurt, what I put me off was whenever we asked for a refill of the breakfast they would ask who is short of eggs or bread or they would complain that the they running out of bread that was just a huge disappointment. They don't compromise for they clients and they made us feel like they were doing us a favor. We wanted to extend our stay but we ended up leaving and booking elsewhere. The bed sheets had stains and the other blanket in the wardrobe was so dirty the wardrobe was dirty had spider webs and so much dust eish. So personally for me I wouldn't come back.
I don't dislike this place. It's very peaceful which I love. Its clean and tidy. Staff are very friendly. In general the estate has a lot of potential. However our unit needs maintenance & upgrade, air-conditioning not working, some of the lights were not working, the oven seal is broken the kitchen is very basic & not practical. The couch is very uncomfortable. Hence our rating of 2 stars.
I wished I was in here for the week. The natural space, the best rooms ever, I have no enough words to shower thid. The sound of wild animals at night make the slumber more nayural. I love this place.Rooms: 5/5
Silonique Bush Estate is very nice self-catering houses. The house is basic, but very neat and clean. It is peaceful bushveld nature with neighbours being a good distance for one another.
Im very disappointed with the road leading to this place , it is a Gravel Road which is in a very bad state, they are suppose to tell you about things like one pool is not working or even the bad road before you make a booking, but they dont. The place needs serious attention.
Great stay at Silonque! We were in the bush with a lot of privacy, we couldn't see our neighbours! We saw elephants and a warthog from our own private swimming pool, and listened to Hyana during the night. The hostess, Pretty, was great, she was very friendly and made a banger of a breakfast she also organised wood & ice for us on arrival. Note: There was a gravel road to the lodge about 7km.
