I love Scotch and Soda but the experience at this Heidelberg location has been a nightmare! First an order that I palced through this store was never confirmed or sent eventhough the money was taken from my account. I had to go back to the store, email and call customer service to receive my money back. Today I went back to the store to return some items from a different order placed from this store. The lady at the register told me I needed the order slip from the shipping package in order to get my money back as they would send the clothes back to the warehouse. I had the digital receipt. The online store clearly states 'easy in-store returns in Germany and Austria'. The she processed to create a return slip and said I would get the money back in a week or so. Then his colleague told her he had a training and learned the refund can be processed immediately. She approached me to process the order immediately. Cool.. This order also contained pants I wanted to keep but were marked down another 25€ the same day I had ordered them. I asked the lady if I could return and repurchase the pants at the lower price. She said I could return and reorder online. As a visitor in Heidelberg I am unable to do that. Then I browsed the store and decided to purchase a few more things. This time a man processed my checkout. I asked him again about the marked down pants. He told me some story about having to place the pants in the stock for a week due to covid and then put it out for sale but then sale will be over. I reaffirmed that I wanted to keep the pants and repurchase immediately. Then he told no retailer does that and it would be like money laundering and fraud. I was in shocked and disbelief when he said that. There I was handing over 300€ to make another purchase only to leave the store insulted and feeling terrible. If there is a policy, please stick to it, dont give inconsistent and nonsense reasons to inconvenience your customers. Anyone looking to shop here, please do yourself a favor and go to the Scotch and Soda in Mannheim where they will treat you with dignity and professionalism.
