Aurelia’s cakes are absolutely amazing!!! Pure joy and happiness on a plate. We’ve tried quite a few of her cakes and every single one has far surpassed our expectations. Her carrot cake, chocolate cake and German apple cake are all fantastic, but our all-time favourite has got to be her chocolate swirl cheesecake with the top quality ingredients you can clearly taste. Out of this world delicious and the balance of flavours is totally spot on. I have to eat very strictly gluten-free for health reasons and have never tasted any gluten-free bakes even remotely as good as hers. You would never ever know that they were gluten-free which to me is amazing. Aurelia is an exceptionally talented baker and you can clearly see the love and passion she puts into each cake. Not only are they delicious, but they look beautiful too. We are so incredibly grateful to have found Aurelia and Philosophy of Yum!
We invited some friends for dinner and we had the Chocolate Swirl Cheesecake as dessert. We all agreed, this is the best cheesecake we ever had. My husband and his friend normally don't eat dessert. But from the Chocolate Swirl Cheesecake both of them eat even two slices. With every piece in your mouth you indulge yourself. The cream cheese filling is moist and very creamy and the chocolate crust fits perfect to this cheesecake. The taste of the whole composition is incredibly delicious. It's really hard to stop eating, you just want to have more of this heavenly treat :-
If you're looking for an honest, home-baked to perfection, simple yet elegant celebration of baking, Philosophy of Yum is the bakery for you. I've had the pleasure of eating just about everything Aurelia has baked in her kitchen. My favourite is the Strawberries and Cream Cake, it tastes like it really should. Rich in Vanilla flavour, moist and her Cream Cheese frosting is a dream come true. I've never been disappointed, her style, commitment to true form, and dedication to perfecting the classic bake is truly inspiring. My loyalty to Philosophy of Yum is unwavering as I am guaranteed that she only uses the finest of ingredients in her bakes real butter and the finest dark chocolate. Philosophy of Yum is my best kept secret and I am graciously sharing it with you today. I recommend the Strawberries and Cream Cake, The Lemon Pistachio Cake, German Apple Cake, Carrot Cake, classic Milk Tart, Poppy Seed and White Chocolate Cake and her Dark Chocolate Cake is really like no other.
I ordered the most delicious cheesecake from Philosophy of Yum for my husbands birthday. From the perfect base and baked cheese filling, through to the thin white chocolate layer holding up the strawberry topping, it is one of the most delicious things I have ever tasted. I would order from them again in a heartbeat.
Beyond any cupcake I've ever tasted -- especially the gluten free ones! Since first trying them a year ago, Philosophy of Yum is now my go-to place for all cake-driven desires I have many. The German Apple cupcakes are to die for.
