I have been a client of Sorbet Village View - Bedfordview for many years and have always been very happy with their service. This salon has now under new management. I had an appointment this morning for a facial with the therapist who has been attending to me for some time and on arrival was told that she could not give me a facial as she is now doing administration. As I had made this appointment about a month ago she asked the new owner to allow her to give me the treatment. The owner denied her request. I refused to have the facial by someone else as I feel that I should choose who treats me. I am very disappointed! On principle I will not go back for facials at this salon. This sort of treatment of old clients does not give Sorbet or the new owner a good reputation. I feel the right ethical business practice would have been to allow the therapist to give the treatment and then inform me that in future I would have to choose someone else, which I would have understood and been happy with.
I used to be impressed until the experience I had today. I am celebrating my birthday - with a fancy do, and therefore made this appointment today at Sorbet Lonehill. I received a phone call 30 minutes ago to say that my appointment for today has been cancelled. I get a long story about my therapists personal life and why she couldn't be at work today. I am then told that nobody else can help me unless I go to a different Salon - I live next door to Lonehill. Firstly, this is not my problem - get more staff. This cannot be the first time in the history of sorbet that a therapist has not arrived for work - why can you not prevent this from happening by having a therapist that deals with walk-ins only and can step in when this sort of issue arises? Secondly, I find it highly unprofessional that the salon phones me and tells me this personal problem - it is not my business. Why don't you try "she can't come in for personal reasons." Needless to say, I am a highly dissatisfied customer that shall now buy my gift vouchers elsewhere!
My daughter had a matric farewell yesterday. She went to Sorbet Drybar in Greenstone for her hair and makeup. Absolutely shocking! Her hair was half done. Once her makeup was done, she looked like someone out of the rocky horror show. Her foundation was orange, her eyelashes that were put on were coming off on the one eye. The consultant doing her makeup was already 15 minutes over time. There was no time to stay and have it fixed up. Upon complaining I was told someone would come back to me. Needless to say ... still waiting. Wow a R620 trip to Sorbet and I had to fix up their mess.
Terrible. I had a 12 o'clock Appointment at Centurion Lake Mall. I arrived early. I waited 10 minutes before even being acknowledged. This is a small branch. At 12h10 I am still waiting for service. What's the use of making appointments if they are not going to be honored? What's worse is I got a hash job. Unprofessional & clumsy. Don't waste your time or money
"Hate it". Couldn't be more irritated if I wanted to be. I have been trying for DAYS to buy an online gift voucher without any success. Naturally I follow the instructions to fill in a simple form without any issue. I press next & continue filling out the form. This is a three page process. At the end of the form after clicking next this whole, cycle starts again. So, not only did I lose my original wording that needs to appear in the card, I also had to redo the form THREE times & still didn't get an opportunity to checkout. It a monotonous cycle that I won't repeat & now I have no intention of ever doing this again.
Finding the up-selling a bit embarrassing now! Questions are not answered when asked, "what treatment are you doing" or just doing a wax with a facial that costs extra, of course, without asking the client first. You are not the only ones feeling the economic pinch Sorbet !! Bad mouthing other salons and told that " we are better than them, come here instead". Overcharged by R20 at one salon which they admitted to when confronted. This is all going on behind the scenes, owners! We will be going back to the private lady in her garden if this happens again to us. Kindly accept this in a good spirit as I intend this to be constructive in preserving the good service I have experienced for many years at your salons. Thank you
I had a very bad experience at Sorbet Highveld Mall. I booked an appointment telephonically for my fiance, when we arrive they told us we didn't make an appointment and they can't help us since they are fully booked. I'm so disappointed and their customer service is beyond bad.
A place to be .. people there are very welcoming and lovely ..humble souls
