A lovely place to hike. Reception staff were friendly and directed us to where the hike starts. Here a guide joined us for the hike and guided our way. A fun morning exercise, but be aware it can get quite hot.
Nice hike. Didn't see any animals but lots of birds and butterflies. Did the full hike around the crater comfortably in about 2 hours. Great views. Would have enjoyed just sitting and taking in the view a bit more along the way. But the guide that walked with us seemed like he wanted to get the hike over and done with as quickly as possible.
This is a true diamond in the rough. Had an amazing opportunity being toured around the crater learning history, geology, and the sociology of the area. One of the most spectacular places I have ever been to in the entire world. A true must see!
Beautiful hike, suggested that you go in summer or spring. Make sure you have cash on you as they do not have card machines and there are no ATMS near by. Disappointing once you reach the crater filled with smelly stagnant water.
Worth a visit especially for nature lovers and those who like hiking pack a picnik basket sun screen & hat. There are security guards keep an eye on things.
Wonderful place, it has it's challenges here and there but so far so good.

I'm so disappointed. website says they open at 07:00 but to our surprise when we got there the security guard sent us away, telling us they open at 09:00 for hiking.
