Absolutely pathetic service from the teller Lucy and she is racist towards other people of colour. Bad attitude and just rude. How is someone who can’t deal with people, put in the front desk. I shop at Sportsman in Sandton all the time and it’s the first time being treated with disrespect. Even in todays age we still being racially discriminated against. Thankfully the branch manager is fantastic and helped us but just absolutely disgusted with the service we got from Lucy. she is doing a great job bringing down the image of sportsman warehouse in Sandton.
Good selection, with knowledgeable and helpful staff. Store feels 'pokey' due to cramming so much into limited space.

Called the Sandton branch. Great service from sales person Tshengifatso. He reserved the item and immediately assisted as I walked into the store.
Maybe one day if they wake up and get speed points that accept tap payments I can also complete a purchase there...

Unfortunately, a terrible experience. So last Saturday i was at the shop window shopping for an exercise bike. I found one, tested it, asked about the price, loved it and told the sales guy I'd be coming back the following Saturday to pay and collect it since he had mentioned that the sale would be ending on 31 May. So yesterday being "the following Saturday" i headed over there with excitement to pay for the bike and arrange for delivery. To my dismay, i was told by the same sales guy that the bike was out of stock and the one i wanted was actually R3000 more! How? After i had been assured of the price and availability just the previous Saturday. So i called for the manager who checked something online and then told me there must have been a mix up since i was given a price of another bike and the one on display that i wanted. I asked how that happened after i had been assured that that was ghe correct price?! Long story short, i left without buying anything since my budget was for what i had saved up for. What annoyed me the most was the dismissive was i was treated after this shocking discovery, the sales guys was cowing around scratching his head, i hardly heard a satisfactory apology. I am truly disappointed by the poor customer service i experienced here. The manager was also of no help, no profound apology or even a suggested plan of how they could rescue my situation. Truly disappointed. Please can your staff be trained on customer care..i wouldn't have wasted my Saturday afternoo going over there if didn't want to purchase a bike. I left fuming. Unbelievable!
I organised the purchase telephonically and went for pickup. Staff was very helpful. I will definitely visit the store again.
Great friendly service. Called in to ask for stock availability. I was assisted by a friendly gentleman who kept the garmet for me to purchase later that day.
Kea from the Sandton branch was the wonderful lady that went beyond the call of duty to help me find my nephew's present. Thank you so much Kea, that was top service.
