Sprigs The Food Shop is a Restaurant and Food Store with a difference. Our food is defined not only by the seasons of the year, but also by the seasons of our mood. What do we feel like cooking today? What inspires us?

Perhaps there’s a few loaves of Health bread in the oven and we can eat them with a salad of grilled fennel bulbs and fresh Boerenkaas cheese from the deli.

From Harvest table lunches to tea and coffee with one of our popular cakes, we are a café and food store for all seasons, driven by a passion for food and a love of feeding people.

We also have a well stocked deli, if you fancy some cold meats and beautiful cheeses. Fresh bread is baked daily as well.

I have always viewed Sprigs as a great spot for delicious, different food. My husband went recently and was disappointed at the quality of the breakfast. Nothing wrong per se, just nothing special & overpriced. I went with a friend recently and ordered the chicken pie with curry gravy. The curry gravy was very bland - I didn't eat it at all. The pie was ok but definitely not what I expect from a place like Sprigs. It was not the delicious, flavorsome, saucy experience I hoped for. I smothered it in All Gold tomato sauce. Has ownership or management changed??
Unbelievably delicious food. Great service as well. There are gluten free and dairy alternative options for almost everything. Their desserts are mouth watering and they have a fantastic gluten and diary free cake as well.
Both meals were full of flavour , succulent and appetizing, the restaurant was very unique, homely and exquisite. The staff made our experience a pleasant and delightful one, they were extremely warm and inviting. Sprigs is one restaurant MANY NEED TO VISIT, healthy generous meals served with passion...A good atmosphere that allows one to relax and unwind. I enjoyed every second.
We enjoyed a really lovely lunch. Good food, pleasant surroundings and pleasant service. Sprigs remains a favorite food spot.Food: 5/5
The baked cheesecake is delicious especially the one with caramel and nut praline. The base is crispy crumbly, the toasted linseed added a nice flavour. Also enjoyed the homemade pies and sausage roll, lovely flaky buttery pastry and quality filling .
My husband and I had the chicken pie, curry gravy and wedges. I have to say unfortunately it was the worse meal I have every experienced. The curry gravy made from 7 veg was actually a mushed up baby food experience with no curry flavour. We live in Durban forgoodness sake. The pie was okay but had little flavor. The potatoe wedges were burnt and shriveled up. We were told that this had been on the menu for years. Well it's time to change the recipe. Seriously. For that meal we paid over two hundred rand. Very disappointing

One of my favourite spots in Kloof. Good coffee, Healthy food & delicious cakes!
The staff were cold, unhelpful with the menu and unfriendly. No one enquired if our meal was any good and we were not asked if we wanted anything else. We had to call someone to ask for the bill even though it wasn't very busy.
Delicious food, go to the deli and make your own sandwich - it's great. Also carb free bread and dairy free options.
