St Ursula's School

I'm Gaye Neille née McMurdo and I attended St Ursula's for 7 yrs, matriculated in 1965.I loved every moment. Wondeeschool wonderful education.

St Ursulas has not only provided me with academic skills but life skills I will use throughout my life. It has a great ethos, and I’m so happy to have been a student there. I am now studying in the UK still using all of the good habits the school taught me.

My two children attended the school from pre-school to Primary. The teachers are very supportive, the children get attention from the teachers. They have a miximum number of 25 children in a class. Most of the classes children are less than twenty. My son has performed very well for the past nine years. He is now a deputy head boy.

I am writing this review because i feel as if all the parents that think this is a good school have no idea what is happening internally, since Mrs Barnard stepped down from deputy head, the school has been going down hill, most of the over qualified teachers have left after Mrs Basson became deputy head, for example: Mrs Mosing, Mrs Cohoe and Mrs Macentyre. At a stage one teacher was teaching 3 to 4 MATRIC Subjects. Based on what i overheard the management does not appreciate the staff at all, This school is very expensive, and for what you pay for is definitely not worth it, the roof is leaking, the wall around the school hasn't ever been painted, the roof in Mr Bassons class is sagging and have watermarks all over them, the paint on the actual school building has faded from a bright yellow to such a pail yellow. Rather let your child go to monument high as it is a fraction of the price and if far times better than this.
