Stepping Stone Studios specialises in conservation framing, using museum quality materials to frame original artwork. Our branches offer a range of carefully selected, original fine art limited edition prints, oil paintings, sculptures and all kinds of other media from high-profile artists from South Africa. Stepping Stone Studios stocks more than 300 sample frames. While these include a range of standard, generic frames common to most suppliers, more than half of the sample range is a selection of custom-moulded, natural wood-surfaced frames that come in numerous different finishes. These are exclusive and have become the signature separating our framing business from its competition. Stepping Stone Studios also provides acid-free mount board and foam core backing for the conservation of original artwork.
We also create bespoke custom mirrors in styles ranging from ornate and traditional to minimal and contemporary and from vanity mirrors to full wall to wall paneled mirrors. Our mirror range also includes our exclusive antique mirror which we make ourselves.The antique mirror can be sold framed or in sheets for wall paneling.
