Stepping Stones: Step Into Education caters for pre-primary and primary school learners.
Stepping Stones School caters for both pre-primary and primary school learners as an educational facility that is primarily English, with Afrikaans as first additional language.
Learners develop a firm knowledge base, rooted in the Curriculum Assessment Policy Statements as outlined by the Department of Basic Education, with high academical standards to our tuition.
The school aims to be accessible to the local community, making quality education affordable to all levels of income.
Stepping Stones operates within the Witbank Emalahleni area, and ensures that learners study within a structured environment allowing cultural diversity in which learners are able to adopt to the norms of their society.
Our vision is to provide an exemplary education, stimulating learning environment with a broad and diversified academic foundation across the whole curriculum, which maximizes individual potential and ensures students of all ability levels are well-equipped to meet the challenges of education, work and life.
Our vision is that children leave school with:
- A set of spiritual and moral values - honesty, integrity and good judgment;
- The provision of educational opportunities for students who cannot afford higher school fees associated with corporate schools.
- Complement of basic skills: linguistic, mathematical, physical and social;
- An enquiring and discriminating mind and desire for knowledge;
- Strong self-esteem and high personal expectations;
- Tolerance and respect for others.
We value the partnership which exists between school, parents and community, and the part it plays in realising this vision.
Our goal is to rise above the ordinary by developing education which will transform lives and communities. Inspired by our parents and communities, our goal is for each student to reach their full potential in body, mind, heart and spirit.
Stepping Stones aims to be:
- a place of excellence, where children can develop to achieve their full academic, creative, personal, physical moral and spiritual potential;
- a caring place where children and adults feel free to contribute and are valued as individuals;
- a place of spiritual values where children learn respect for themselves and others;
- a partnership between children, parents, staff and community as a whole.
