I came to see Ryan with chronic inflammatory back pain and I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. With Ryan’s knowledge and help, I went from being unable to carry out basic daily activities, to being able to row 5k and start running, which I thought I would never be able to do again. Exercise is a big part of pain management for my condition and with Ryan’s help, I now have the physical strength and confidence to be able to exercise properly. Since working with Ryan, I have fewer flare-ups and I also have more capacity to do activities before the onset of pain. My outlook on living with chronic pain has improved a lot since starting physiotherapy and I cannot recommend Worcester Physiotherapy Clinic enough!
I was recommended Ryan back in December for a knee injury I hadn’t been able to shake off for a couple of months. As a triathlete, I was keen to get back to weight bearing exercise use as soon as possible. The first session identified a strength imbalance between my left and right legs, likely caused by a previous back injury. Ryan was full of knowledge he was willing to share with me to better my understanding of the injury, he worked with me and provided specific strengthening exercises. Ryan had me running again within 5 visits. I hope to not have to see him again but if I do, I know I’ll be in good hands.
I visited Ryan with a long standing persistent shin splint issue. Ryan gave me excellent reasoning behind why the injury is occurring and implemented a progressive plan that with feedback allowed the correct stress/recovery ratio. He explained visually very clearly to me how to run injury free, and installed a strength training program to facilitate stronger running. A very professional and personable person who doesn’t turn to gimmicks and sales of products to combat injuries
Ryan helped with me a knee injury obtained through snow boarding which made it very difficult for me to participate in any kind of exercise. A year on and I am now fully back to exercising and being able to do what I could pre injury! Ryan was very professional and welcoming, I would highly recommend!! Thank you :
I 1st visited Ryan early November, with an injury in my foot. He fully assessed the issue, with both verbal questioning and visual assessments. Ryan took time to explain what was causing the issue I was experiencing, and managed my expectation’s regarding recovery time scale. Every exercise I was given, was demonstrated and explained, including how it was helping I.e building strength or stability etc. I now feel ready to take on my next challenge, and could not thank you Ryan enough.
I’ve never really been one for leaving reviews, but following such an excellent service from Ryan, I thought I’d make an exception. Brief background, I took part in the Worcester 10k in Sept 2022 with what I thought was a “niggly” calf muscle. Following a very disappointing & painful finish, I contacted Ryan, booked in an appointment and it turns out my “niggly” calf was actually a torn Achilles! As I say reviews aren’t my thing, and instead of writing, “brilliant, patient and honest”, I thought I’d Google what makes a good physiotherapist? So that’s what I did and here’s what I came up with and my interpretations and comments against each point: Responsive: From day one, Ryan made it perfectly clear that if I had any questions / concerns, he was available and he responded to all my questions in a timely, clear manner. Ethical: When Ryan thought my treatment, or at least his involvement was complete, we discussed it and I left with a comprehensive continuation plan. No dragging it out and no charging for unnecessary follow up visits. Communicative: This is an easy one, straight from the dictionary, willing, eager and able to talk and impart information. Big ticks against all these boxes! Caring: In my opinion, this is one of the key areas, as you want to feel that the person looking after you cares, Ryan’s friendly, helpful & thoughtful disposition, oozes this in abundance. Competent: Ryan’s knowledge is quite clearly extensive, but I think his competency should be measured on how he gets that across to the “uneducated”, and his clear and understandable presentation of both the injury and the recovery process highlights this. Collaborative: I also think this should be “understanding” as we and I emphasise “we” set out a recovery plan, which Ryan monitored on each visit. But he also understood, that sometimes I couldn’t adhere to what we had planned, either through pain or me just simply me being a lazy git!, and he re-structured our goals accordingly! So in summary, and probably more in line with what you would find on a review, I would 150% recommend the services of Ryan for anyone suffering a musculoskeletal ailment or even feeling a little “niggle”!!
Ryan treated a trapped nerve for my husband and helped me with a frozen shoulder. He was really professional and gave great advise and follow up exercises which have proved effective. We would both highly recommend.
Can't recommend this physio practice enough. Niggle in my back for 12 months, two sessions and a few needles later and it has completely gone, reasoning and explanation of everything done was reassuring. Very professional. Thank you Charlie.
Over the years I have seen many physiotherapists with various joint and muscle issues. I can honestly say that that Ryan is certainly one of the best, if not the best. He is very professional and his initial examination was very thorough and his diagnosis carefully explained. Recommended exercises areas are also clearly demonstrated. He is very personable and it's easy to ask him questions ; his answers are always comprehensive and understandable. I have no hesitation in highly recommending him. Tim Parker
I came to see Ryan back in March now when I went over on my ankle. Even though it was bad news and I knew I wouldn't be able to play tennis and compete for a couple months Ryan made sure to get me back to full strength. With the exercises that were given to me between each session, I made massive improvements each time with testing of the range in my ankle and gradually getting the strength back to be able to slowly start playing tennis with movement again. I am so glad that Ryan helped get me back to full strength and help get me back on court competing again. I'm super thankful for everything he had done and woulf definitely recommend to anyone that has any injuries.
