I am not normally someone to do these type of posts but I am left with no other choice seeing though she posted only half of the story on her business page. I ordered two cakes from Tandy Lindeque from suga suga cupcakes more than a month ago for my son's first birthday party which was this saturday the 16th. On friday the 15th she sent me previews attached of the cake and I was extremely excited. Saturday morning came and unfortunately I couldn't collect the cakes myself as his party started @9:30 and I had to get to the venue etc, so my mother had to collect the cake. My mother notified me on her way that the cake is a disaster and it is falling apart, as soon as she got to my house I was so upset as it looked nothing like I asked and then it only got worse: 1. I took pictures of the cake, the color wasn't even the color that I requested. 2. There was a lace ribbon added to the bottom of the cake to hide the fact that the fondant is cracking. 3. The cake was tumbling over and sinking because there was no dowell sticks. 4. I received a 2 tier cake in a one tier box and it was expected from me to have the cake remain in a good state, which baffles me completely. I had to hold the cake and makeshift ways to keep it in one condition. Upon dropping the cake off I had to desemble the tiers so that we can transport it 5. I noticed that she took photos of her son with my cake which I think is highly unprofessional 6. I would never ever sabotage my childs cake that I paid for and ordered. I sent Tandy a message saying that I would like her to come and collect the cake and refund me as I can't obviously have a cake in that condition. She apologized and advised her husband will collect the cake in the afternoon and she will do an eft. The other cake came out okay so I decided to use that one. This was also a cake smash and wasn't big enough for all my guest but I figured one is better than no cake at all. Later throughout the course of the day I received a message stating that she didn't know that I lived so far I am based in Centurion and my husband has to drop off the cake on sunday midday. I said to her it's fine but she needs to do the payment as soon as the cake was returned. Sunday came, my husband dropped the cake off @10:00, she responded with a message saying she will not refund me as I tampered with the cake. I am so disappointed and disgusted in the service I received from Tandy. I will not recommend her to any of my family and friends as I have had nothing but poor service from her.
Tandey your cakes are so amazing. I have had so many made by you for events from stork parties,birthdays, celebrations etc. They are tasty and works of art. Love your work.
Tandey makes the greatest cakes and definitely pays attention to detail. Every cake we have ordered from her beats our expectations!
The absolute best tasting cake I have ever tasted. The attention to detail is amazing and very reasonable with pricing. A definite must to try for anyone looking for the perfect cake
